From the limited info available, what do you think about it.  I am not familiar with piston systems or pistols but have been planning to get an AR pistol in a few months.  What are you thoughts on this design?

It'd be nice if you can remove the rail on the back-end and make it into a sbr

I'd like to see them offer just the upper too.

I kinda would like to see a folding stock for such a lower.  It would make a great SBR or with a rifle upper and a side folding stock.

There is potential here!

Should make something similar but that has a removable hanguard/FF tube no integrated to the system.

I might not take one even if they were FREE.

Yeah I'll take this guys! First thing I thought was folding stock + silencer = badass SBR.

So what's with the C-clip on the left side of the gas block.  Couldn't RRA come up with a better solution, that just looks cheezy for lack of a better description.

I would like just the upper. I would put it on my one SBRed lower, add a folding stock. It looks like the holes on the bottom of the handguard could have a rail, or front vertical grip added.....would do that. No-no on the pistol, but just fine on the SBR.

If I could get the complete upper for $800ish....I would consider it.

I wish that they would put their efforts into building my pistol that has been on order for 13 months...

I was wondering if the new pistol and the .40 S&W uppers would be actually available this calendar year!!!

I like it!  a true piston design that does not need the buffer tube.  I am interested in the rifle version.

With the picatinny rail along the butt it seems like a folding stock could be adapted.  Snap on, snap off.  I like it.

Very cool.  Watch the video.  They are going to offer a rifle version as well.  So there should be a folding stock adapter available.

I'm thinking an SBR folder with an aftermarket gas regulator would be a pretty good suppressor platform.

What are they thinking... putting 1:9 twist on a pistol. I would rather have 1:7 or 1:8 for heavier bullets.

missing a very useful feature......THE BUFFER TUBE!!!!!

If it is available as just an upper, you could always stick it on a standard lower and add your buffer tube. I assume you want that for your cheek rest? Otherwise, that is why I like this one....no buffer tube needed. SBR with folding stock....a nice tiny little PDW style gun in 5.56.

I'll take an upper with a 1/7 twist barrel. Otherwise, no.

And yes I'm serious I have a stripped "Pistol Only" marked lower in the safe.

So does anyone have any info on how long you will have to wait to get one? Is there  deposit required? Do you have to pay in full and then wait 20 weeks, cuz Im a instant gratification kinda guy.

Ok, I answered my own question by calling RRA. If you place an order for one now, you will get it by this summer. I hate when money has to linger like that. In the past I have built all of my Ar's piece by piece, kinda like a payment plan. This little F**ker will put a dent in the pocketbook.

I've made my mind up, Im taking the plunge. Guess ill go by the shop tomorrow. ill post pics and rate it when I get it. Hope I dont need it before then.

I do believe it is a standard lower with an adapter threaded in and then the rail goes on the adapter and captures the take-down pin and is held in place with an allen screw from the inside - from what i saw at SHOT

I hope they have just the upper as a kit.

While RRA makes some nice ARs, this product is not unique other than the piston design.
