When I finally get around to building a pistol, this is the brace that I'll use. |

And the fact that it looks better than all the rest and is just as easy to shoulder. |

If you mean the top one, yep, it is a PSA AK-V, and it is awesome. Very soft shooting and easy to handle. The bottom one is a PSA PX9 lower with a Foxtrot Mike's upper. It's not as smooth shooting, but I haven't had any failures with it. |

One is a 7.5" Pistol version, the other a 16" rifle version. Both are using the dedicated 9mm lowers (Glock Mags) from PSA. They both run 100% Back when I built these the Endomags weren't around yet. I had looked into mag blocks and other variations and finally ended up with the dedicated 9mm lowers, which I have been very happy with. My buddies and I were out shooting recently and after shooting my 7.5" AR9 pistol they both decided they wanted to build one. One of my buddies said he wanted to utilize his existing lower (standard) if possible after I told him about reading about the Endomags. I went ahead and ordered an Endomag just to try it out, and if it worked out well enough, I was considering selling my dedicated 9mm lowers and converting over to the Endomag system. Why are you thinking about switching to a mag block? Are you having any issues at all with the Endomag? This might end up saving me a lot of time and bother! Thanks in advance! Here is a pic of my 7.5" 9mm AR9. |

I would recommend following their break in procedure which is basically for checking clearances between the mag and bolt.If you have a tight fit then this procedure helps to "shave" a little of the polymer off. My AR also has trouble with the magazine not fully seating on a closed bolt, it requires a very strong tap and even then it still doesn't go in all the time. I have dry cycled it around 80ish times and fired it a couple of times, and that seems to help, but if this break in process is required for every single Endomag, then I'm strongly tempted to just get a mag block and be done with it. I will say that it does feed them fine and ejects them in a nice little pile, however. |
