Scarr used to make them. A few of us members reached out to him and he said he no longer has the machine or parts to make them and it is unlikely he will.

This was like a month or so ago.

as far as I know, BCM is steel at 2.2 oz, Titanium is .9oz by V7 and scarf's aluminum was .7oz  .  Anyone have an aluminum they would part with?

the .2 of an oz isnt gonna kill me but I'm sure the aluminum one is a hell of a lot cheaper than the v7 nut.

He made a very limited run out of 7068.  V7 is doing regular production runs of Ti.  I don't think the aluminum one was as cheap as you think it was.

IF they are machined to identical dimensions, those numbers are off.

The steel barrel nut isn't 2.2 ounces, that weight includes the mounting hardware.  The weights for Ti and Al are just the barrel nuts.

and V7 makes Ti clamp blocks
they were talking about making Ti cross bolts but that hasn't happened yet

yes, that's correct, Im thinking the steel nut itself is more like 1.8oz.  Plus the titanium nut could be a bit thinner with the strength of it.

do you know how much he was charging?  i doubt it was 60 bucks but maybe it was.  2a sells aluminum replacements for their titanium nuts at half the price (30 bucks).
