I own one LMT M4 and thinking of getting a LEO LMT lower with a SOPMOD stock and a LMT upper or buying a LE6920. Is the LE6920 anybetter than LMT. I know I might start WWIII with this question. I have never have owned a COLT AR15/M4.

The current LE 6920 (and my 6721) have an unmilled web style which is shown at the bottom of the pics.

The pictures are from team member XM777 in the noted thread link below.

Current production 6920's have the unmilled style block.  With that said don't the LMT's have the high shelf block?

I'd go with the LMT because it uses regular trigger parts.

Bradd F, from the Pic on this site the LMT looks the same as a CMT/Stag on the inside, not like the Colt at all.

They may not look like the Colt, but I still don't think you can use a sear as the rear shelf is too high ala RRA.

Thanks, everyone for the pic's. I have one more question about the LE6920, does have T-Numbers on the flat-top?

I have a Dumb question?  Why is the Colt so much better than LMT? And Why can't just add a LMT or CMT  M16BC to the upper?

WILDBILL756,Thats what he said, it has the high shelf and thats IS like the CMT/STAG lower...

Bradd_D, There is more to it other than the height of the shelf that would prevent the use of a GI auto sear... The high shelf is actually there to prevent the use of a DIAS...

That's the sear I was referring to...drop in auto sear.

How much better is the Colt LE6920 than the LMT M4 or are they both equal?

Iam not trying to a War or make a lower Full-Auto.  Iam just trying to learn more about the LE6920.  Please can some Colt experts help me out?

I don't know why people make such a big deal about Colt's sear block.  Every other manufacturer blocks their lower except Bushmaster, they just block it in a different way.  High shelf vs. web.

Does the LE6920 have M4 marked on the front of the upper reciever by the gas tube like the Colt does and does it have the T-Numbers on the F-Top? I think that the LMT is not park un the front site. What else am I missing between the two?

The 6920 will be M4 marked while the LMT will not be.  Both will have T-numbered rails (unless you find an older 6920).  The 6920 will be parked under the FSB while the LMT will not be.

My current rig is a Colt 6920 lower topped with a 14.5" LMT upper with a Colt bolt and carrier.  It's a nice rig.  No issues so far.

Bradd D, is that M4 marked under the gas tube on the Colt upper?

It is marked M4 above the gas tube hole.

I apologize if this was posted earlier in the thread, but I just couldn’t find it or figure it out.  Is there any way to get a DIAS into a LMT lower? (After all legal paper work has cleared with the BATF)

thanks

Click on "M16/AR15", it has some pics of semiauto lowers modified to fit a RDIAS.
