I am building a 20" target and small game AR.  The lower is S&W M&P and the upper is a 20" DPMS with 1X9 twist 5.56.  Will a higher quality BCG give me better accuracy?  Reliability is not a major issue because this is not my SHTF AR.

thanks

A standard BCG will work just fine.  A good trigger would be a better way to spend your money.  Most people will recommend Geissele if you've got the budget.

ETA:  BCM and Denny/GTS make good BCG's.

The Bolt Carrier Group isn't an accuracy mod.

Like norske said put a good trigger in it.

+1    Get a Denny BCG and save your money for a good trigger.

Like others have said - the trigger will help.  Practice will help the most though.

Get a BCM if said upper is not already equiped and as stated above a good trigger.
