For over 400 bucks, does it come already attached to a barrel?

Why in the hell would anyone waste money on inconel for a brake? there is zero need for inconel in this application.

If you can afford a $1,400 KAC suppressor, you can afford a $400 muzzle brake to extend the can's life.

Inconel is a a pain in the butt to machine, it's a super steel.

The design is very intricate and as a result it's a lot time of EDM machines for each brake.  Lotsa machine time + expensive machines = spendy.

I don't like brakes in general, i like my hearing levels the way they are now, lol

...as long as you accept that KAC neither officially recommends nor warranties suppressor use with this brake.

I use quite a bit of inconel in my job and i still think it is overkill even for suppressed applications but then again if one were to have the money, go for it.

Oh man, who do I know that runs a setup like that?

Oh wait it's me. And I'll easily say it's a great combo.

Just FYI, Inconel is not a steel. Steels are iron with a little carbon and for different types of steels, other alloying elements. Inconel is nickel, chromium and other elements added.

In combination with the suppressor that goes with it, the brake essentially acts as the first blast baffle of the suppressor.  In that application it's subject to considerable heat.

There was some discussion of making them out of a more standard material for non-suppressed use but that hasn't happened so far.

Just so everybody is aware and doesn't start freaking out the first run Triple Tap did not have any form of a finish or coating.  These new muzzle brakes do and it looks pretty good.

If cost is the issue, I like the $5 A2.

When you boil it down to its most simple terms of total overall performance, I like the KAC.

I prefer to find a happy balance of cost and performance. 400 dollars for the KAC doesn't match the performance, now if it was a 100 bucks sure.

Stupid question, but....Is it ridiculous to put on of these on a 16in barrel?  I know that they are super useful on SBR's but how's the recoil reduction on a standard M4?

I just received my Triple tap muzzle break from Operation Parts. Upon opening the package I notice that my break is all black. It is my understanding that this break is to be shipped "in the white" and then darkened with use. I am now suspicious of the authenticity of this product? I sent operation parts an email, what do you guys think?

And just to help avoid the panic, there is a batch of non-balckened ones coming out as well right behind the new black ones in an effort to fill back-orders.  The black one like the one pictured above was from a test run, and the run right behind it skipped the black plating.
So don't be surprised if there are a mix of silvery and black comps in the near term.
Once we catch up, they will all be black.
By the way, the plating is unobtanium black #2.

I understand the cost after looking at the close-ups. EDM time and the programming of the machine have to be super intricate!
And with such a tough metal to boot.

$1,200 - $1,300 for the can + $200 tax stamp = $1,400 - $1,500
