NO CALLED FLIERS!  If you shot it, it counts.  If you "fling" a bullet on a really important shot, there is no calling it back and asking for a redo.
Sorry, if he was going to shoot a 4 shot group, he should have stopped at 4.  FLIERS COUNT, called or not.
IMO that is not a .200 inch group, that is .4935 group and there is nothing special about that.

Do you have any idea how many times when on the shooting line I would have given my left arm to be able to call a pulled shot back?  Sorry, doesn't work that way.

Just yanking your chain so don't get upset.  Call it what you want to call it and Merry Christmas!

this thread already took a nose dive into the "BULLSHIT ZONE"...

there is nothing special about a sub-MOA gun on the internet...

Yeah looking at your calipers I thought the .49 was a little conservative. .450 is pretty damn good. Thats about what I get with my custom bold gun in real world conditions.

Good thread.  Nice to see some proof for they great internet groups that are spoken of.

Here's my story.  I bought a BM varminter in the summer of 2004.  Popped on a NF 3.5 - 15 x 50, a bipod, and took it to the range.  Sighted from the bench, and put it away for the next session.  No special break-in, no fancy cleaning technique.

Next time out, taped a quarter to the target board at the 100 yard line, and took the first cold shot and hit the quarter.  All is good, had some more fun and put it away again.

Next time out, same story.  And the next, and the next, and the next.  Over a four year span, ten sessions. (lost one coin, sorry)

Great groups are great, but for me, knowing that the first cold shot is minute-of-eyeball accurate is comforting far beyond a .250 3 shot group.

I got really lucky with this particular rifle, it is a hell of a shooter.

537 yards
3 MOA of wind dialed in the scope. It was a bit breezy.
20" Lothar Walther 1x8 barrel
75 grain Hornady HPBT over Varget.

I pulled one high and called it.

5 rounds in 8 inches.

4 rounds in 2.5 inches.

Here's one of my best with an AR in .204 Ruger at 100 yards......

Another from an AR chambered in .17 REM, also at 100 yards........

And a last one from an AR in .223. Nine out of 10 rounds at .625 MOA with 1 flier out to .812 MOA at 100 yards also.  Still not too bad.

My best. The group was measured edge to edge, so it's actually a .31 measured center to center. 4-shot group. Planned on 5 shots, but I had a bad primer on the 3rd round and this was my last 5 rounds of the day.

I know it's nothing amazing, but it was early in my AR journey and I was very happy with the results.

16" non-CL Model 1 barrel
4 MOA Aimpoint (zeroed for my other carbine)
WOA 2 stage trigger
WWB .223 ammo

Approx 85 yards with forearm shoved in a gravel berm

I just liked the pic since we were goofing around and I couldn't really see the target center that well.
1st shot (upper right), I was told to go lower. 3 shot group (told to go left) 4 shot group (was being told 'bullseye')
Remember, I'm aiming "somewhere" in the lower left of the paper.
I knew that meant in the black, but I didn't know it meant touching.

3 and 5 shot groups are just masterbation

Someone post some real 10-shot groups please

Flyers are not actually flyers, put more shots into the grouping and you'll that bullets start to fill the gap between the 'flyer' and the main group

For all you range commandos out there

This is from a Larue stealth 16" 0.65" 5-shot group

But when you shoot 10-shot groups the grouping is closer to 1.25"

My 1-shot groups are still better

Anyway when you get out that far its more about the shooters skill in estimating wind and drop than the mechanical accuracy of the gun, congrats Mark thats some damn fine shooting

I dont have one of those fancy programs.  Maybe some one can tell me the group sizes.  BlackHills MK262 Mod1 (77gr SMK BTHP).  100 yds aiming at these Birchwood Casey 1" stick on dots.  The crosshairs in my Leupold TA30 TMR were larger than the orange spot on 9x at 100 yds.

Top group is 5 shots (bottom center is 2 holes).

Here I fixed it for bruchi (next page).  The scope view.  Go ahead and line up those crosshairs on that almost non-existent dot.  The next dot in size is a 2", and the large is a 3".  I chose the 1" for a little challenge.

While laying downhill, and prone.  Guess if I was on a bench with a sandbag it would be tighter.  This is an upper that I built.

One more for the overall view, laying in the weeds and grass.
