Which optic did you go with for the PoBoy? |
The Hensoldt 2.5x magnifier I listed. There was no option. |
that is a magnifier that you put behind an optic. without the optic,(aimpoint/eotech) you will have no aiming reference. what are you using to aim that thing?

I see. For the time being I went a little cheap and ordered a 2 MOA S.P.O.T. When I've got a little time with the rifle under my belt and have a better idea of what I really want I'll likely upgrade to an Aimpoint. Edit: And obviously, until the red dot arrives, I'll be employing the handy-dandy pivot feature of the LaRue mount to move the magnifier aside, and will use the flip-up irons. |

o ok i was just wondering. i didn't know if it was there because the scope was low and maybe the front sight wouldn't show up in the field of view as much. my bushy has a similar setup and i know the front sight doesn't show up in the scope but i honestly didn't know. i like the dark earth look. i went with the olive drab but not too happy with the look. but it still shoots damn good and i guess thats all that matters.http://i416.photobucket.com/albums/pp247/wormydog1724/IMG_0536.jpg http://i416.photobucket.com/albums/pp247/wormydog1724/IMG_0535.jpg btw thats my Browning .223 WSSM up there in the corner... sweet gun too |

Parts list per request.. My gun, the black M4 is all Bushmaster, almost. Its an old Bushmaster upper with what was a post-ban HBAR, hence the lack of bayonet lug. I had it reprofiled to an M4 by KKF. The barrel is a 1/9 twist. The barrel is sitting in an old LaRue 7.0 rail. The rail covers are by Tango Down. The VFG is a Tango Down. The optic is an old Aimpoint Comp M in the new to the market Bobro 180 cantilever mount. That one gives a lower 1/3 witness. If you want an absolute witness you need the Bobro 150. The rear BUIS is a Troy. Magpul Pmag with window, Magpul trigger guard and MIAD. The stock is a milspec tube with a Magpul CTR. The CTR is wearing a buttpad. There are covers on all rails to include the upper. |

What stock is that? and is that a 516? |
It's an HK E1 stock. Pretty comfortable actually. No it's not 416, I kinda wanted it to look like one though. It's a 6.8 LWRC Piston upper, on a POF lower. |

I'm sure she's a tack driver. I think I am gonna go a similar route with my final build of the year, although I may opt for the 20" barrel and a Magpul PRS stock. Yeah, it'll be a heavy mother, but since it will be a precision platform, I suppose I can live with the weight. I do need to check that scope out though the next time we get together. It looks like you chose well when making that selection and I may have to pick up the same model. Very good bang for the buck. Also, love the KISS carbine. Though the decked out rifles have their place, I often find myself opting to pick up the KISS guns when I head out the door. There's just something about having a simple, lightweight, no BS gun that makes it a lot of fun for extended range sessions. -CH |

I finally had the chance to put my Zahal stuff on my AR. Now I need to get an A1 pistol grip - the nub on the A2 is in the wrong place for my monster hands! http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i103/supercaptaincoolman/Firearms/PICT0029-1.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i103/supercaptaincoolman/Firearms/PICT0031-NoSN.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i103/supercaptaincoolman/Firearms/PICT0032-NoSN.jpg Great to see some IDF accessories! |
