Bushmaster with Surefire rails, Brinkmann flashlight and Bushnell Holosight. Took a possum out of a tree about 30 ft off teh ground with it around 60 yards, so yeah, the holosight is still accurate even though it's not an EOTech

Uh guys..not to rag on your rifles or pics or anything but to be in the M4 picture thread, your rifle needs to have an M4 profile barrel. That includes the M203 cut. An HBAR (or lightweight for that matter) carbine is not an M4.
"Tricking out" a rifle doesnt make it an M4. |

Cool, that answers my question. I also like your back up plan of burning your enemies retinas out if you run out of ammo |

How do you like the TD VFG? Would you prefer it over, say, a Knights VFG?
ALL of my guns have Tango Down vertical fore grips on them. They are FAR superior to the Knights. I have broken KAC VFG's before and have seen others break them as well. I don't think you could break a Tango Down VFG if you were trying (under real world use).
The ergonomics of the Tango Down as well as the features are far superior to any other vertical foregrip on the market. |
Would there be any difference between a Knights and a GG&G do you think? I think I've seen a GG&G VFG that looks exactly like a Knights but has a threaded core with storage. Just cant seem to find where I saw it Think it was $30 or so. |
GG&G use to be one of the only companies making aftermarket gear in the late 90's. I used a lot of their gear and the Department was on the list of departments that used GG&G gear back when they had a print catalog.
After comparing GG&G gear to what is currently avalible on the market, it is my opinion that their gear is *overpriced* and *under-engineered*. I'm not saying that the KAC VFG is bad, I used one for many years....but I would take a Tango Down vertical foregrip, rail pannels, etc. anyday of the week and twice on Sunday over the other options currently on the market. Just my 2 pesos. |

Sorry about the poor quality of the pics, wanted to post some while i had a chance this week.
One of the first pics i took of it. http://myspace-780.vo.llnwd.net/00571/08/79/571229780_l.jpg The newest pic (as of 15 minutes ago) http://a346.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/42/l_346469967ecafd5f0740c2dbbbe15b49.jpg |

Nice! Specs? |
DPMS lower with DPMS lower parts and 6 pos stock, Olympic Arms A3 16" upper, Aimpoint optic, Surfire 6P light, YHM quard rail and YHM foregrip, and a kinda annoying one point sling.
Thats about all i can think of now. the inside is all factory OAI or DPMS. Im looking into a trigger upgrade now and trying to figure out what the next big investment will be. i think the aimpoint may be taken off for an Eotech. Hell i dont know i need to go to bed. |

Tell me that the mag only holds 10. |

If you want to get technical, there isn't a single M4 in any pic here |

I was wondering when you were gonna be around |

How do YOU like the KAC VFG? Does it have a threaded core/storage? |
I really like that como job, it's not too much and still does the job. it looks really good, nice job! |
Damn... if WW3 breaks out atleast the germans won't have much 5.56 to use in the HK's against us |
Just put it on this week and haven't had a chance to ring it out. I suspect I'll like it. To answer your question, it does have the threaded core but no storage. The core is solid. I'm sure someone makes a core with storage. |
You have any more pics of that setup? I really like it. |
I've noticed a lack of side sling adapters. In my military travels, every unit seems to use them on thier m-4's, is there a reason you guys don't use em, or is it just something goofy that no one wants. Just wondering :)
Where can you get that done??? I cant remember! I'd love to have it done for my 601 and the XM177E2 and M4 I'm building!! |
Check the previous page toward the bottom, I have one on mine. Unfortunantly I had to move my light to accomodate it, other than that I prefer having one! |
