You IM'd, but you don't accept return IMs.  However, to answer your question, you have to pull a lot of strings.

Hey Stickman:
I'm browsing through this thread with my fiance who is a photographer for Harley Davidson.  She's pretty impressed with your stuff and is curious about what kind of equipment you're using.

Thankyou, right now I use an older Olympus C750.  I'm pushing its limitations, but it still does well enough for my needs.  This last week or so has been a prelude, this upcoming week I'll be posting more, and with some series I like better.

Nice rifle.... you know its wierd, after you have an A1 style rifle, and you get into all the "M4gery" stuff.... You have a need to buy a rifle that brings you back to it.

I was going to keep the A1 and just modify it a little, and a dealer friend suggested that I just sell it and build one from scratch.  My father passed away recently and left all his guns and ammo to the 2 boys, I decided to sell enough of them to buy a gun safe large enough to keep the rest of the guns in.  All the guns I had, I really did not care for, and I why have a safe full of guns you wont shoot.  So I decided to keep one shotgun and my grandpa's military issue colt 1911 and build myself one gun that had everything that I wanted, and an AR that my dad would have loved as well...A kind of tribuite to him.  I will post some pics of the AR when its complete, hopefully I will get the barrel this next week,  I think the total bill on the gun so far is around $3500.  I cant wait to get out and get some rounds thru it.

Here are some pics of the USN Mk18 Mod 0 CQB carbine and the AR I built. I built the AR-15 to train with since Uncle Sam isn't getting us much $$$ for ammo/range time right now. Parts used are CMT A3 upper, Colt M4 barrel, LMT BUIS and SOPMOD stock, RRA lower with NM trigger, KAC RAS and vertical grip. The Mk18 has a 10.5 inch barrel vice the AR at 14.5.

Going to shoot it this weekend and sight it in.

Hope you like them.

This is all being done with a point and shoot camera.  I switch it over to Aperature priority, and then over ride the exposure settings that the camera tries to give me.  I need to jump over to the digital Cannon platform as that is what all my film bodies and lens are, but I don't have the extra cash laying around.  Below is a picture of what I'm using (courtesy of apmedia.sk).  Right now I think I'm  maxing the abilities of the camera with certain shots.  Shooting white on white, and black on black pictures you can see the serious limitations this has.  The lens is obviously nothing near a SLR lens either.

My fiance just bought a Nikon D200 with a Nikon 24-85mm f2.8-f4 D IF Lens (no idea what that means) and a Nikon SB800 Flash (no idea what that is either).  She's full time at Harley-Davidson, so she gets to use their equipment to shoot bikes, but she uses her own to shoot weddings, events, portraits, etc.  When she's got some time, I'm gonna have her do some still lifes of my equipment and weapons

I know what you mean about not having the cash lying around, Stick; I don't know how you would be able to afford both of these hobbies.  She spends more on camera equipment than I do on weapons!

I can finally add to the picture thread.  Here's the two in the house.  Mine is the top and my fathers is on the bottom.  I purchased mine yesterday as a complete rifle and my father bought his upper assy. to complete his yesterday.  Both are DPMS 16".
