Anyone here shoot anything from American Ammunition? I found a deal for their "American Ammunition 223 Remington 55 Grain C3 (Completely Copper Coated)" and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this stuff. It doesn't have to be incredibly accurate, I'm looking more for decent accuracy, reliability, and relatively clean as in it found foul up a rifle too fast with either powder residue or copper fouling.  I'll be using it for my AR, as well as plinking around with a CZ527 Carbine.

Anyone have any info? Thanks

You probably want to ask in the ammo forum.  However, I have heard this ammo is garbage.

I had 500 rnds of .45ACP that had 5 or 6 squib loads. Run away! Dangerous stuff IMO.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sorry about the post repeats, I don't get a chance to read the forums much like I used to.

You saved me from getting a bad buy.

I'm scheduled to come home on mid-tour leave here in a few weeks, and my AR ammo supply is gone from pre-deployment block leave, so I'm looking for a refill that won't destroy the wallet of a PFC.  The only ammo I've ever really used in my AR has been PMC and S&B.

Thanks again.

It's sad but "american ammunition" and the word "quality" should never be used together to form a positive statement.

It sucks +30 (the number of bad .223 rounds I had out of a box of 50).

Primers blew out causing jams every 20 rounds or so on my batch. Ridiculous.

It leaves lead in your barrel a little bit more than bare lead bullets.

If the badguy were using them in Iraq, Sandbox II would be over by now . . . hmmmm . . . now there's an idea.
