$150 to thread a barrel? Or is that to thread, lug and put on a decent adjustable stock?

Definitely need more details as to what kind of work is done. Hopefully $150 is the whole deal as getting the barrel threaded should cost only 1/3 of that price.

what about the bayonet lug? can one be added w/o changing front sight block?

You can't add one to the existing gas block, no. Someone makes clamp on ones but thats kind of silly

I suppose it'd be possible to weld and grind a bayonet lug, but it'd be much easier to just replace the whole assembly.
Remember, every AR that CAN have a lug SHOULD have a lug.

$150 to thread a barrel and replace an $18 gas block/sight tower?
No thanks, for $50 more I can just BUY a brand new Bushmaster barrel.

Yeah, but how are they threading the barrell?
With a die? Forget that... But a skilled smith using a lathe is worth paying the $$, although I am unsure if $150 is a good value.

That doesn't sound like a good deal to me. I bought a "F" stamped front sight base from BravoCompanyUSA for $18 and ADCO is only chargine me something like $60 to replace it and thread my Colt 6400c barrel.
(I can't remember the exact price but it's close)

If for $150 you get removal of muzzle brake, new front sight base installed, and phantom flash hider permanently installed it might be worth it.

No, I meant what process are they using to result in a threaded barrel.
