My Colt CAR-15, SP-1. Basically stock for now. I switched out the receiver for one with a forward bolt assist, but it is a pre-brass deflector style:

Same lower with my HBAR upper. The cope is a "Delta" style Tasco 3x9 rubber armored on an A.R.M.S. mount.

Why did you put a postban barrel on your preban carbine?  Just curious, not throwing stones.

I wanted a little bit more reach and got a good deal on the HBAR upper ($350). I am planning on buying another lower with a standard stock to put the HBAR on. Right now I switch them depending on what I am going to use them for. Shorty for carrying on the ATV and cruising the ranch. HBAR for target and varmint shooting.

Zak, you always have the neatest stuff.  And now you go and throw a RAID in there too...

Kisara,

Close, but it's a Kifaru Marauder.  I haven't handled the RAID pack, but they look almost identical from the rear.  The Kifaru has a little more complicated suspension.  The panel zipper is real nice to get quick access to all the gear in the pack.

I used it at the ITRC last week:

Zak, did the Marauder come with the top compression straps or did you add them?  When I was shopping for a pack, that was one reason I went with the RAID (the Marauder did not have the straps at that time, plus the RAID had MOLLE attachment points on the bottom).  I've got an E&E Pouch D&L'ed to the face of my RAID and love Kifaru products!

My Marauder came with the top compression straps.. I got it in May or June, I think.  The Marauder also has MOLLE loops inside.

With expensive taste like that in your packs, I think it's safe to say that's an Aimpoint and not a Tacpoint...

In the scheme of things, having gear break when you are relying on it sucks way more than paying a little more at purchase-time.

Edit-
I did it for you, but that pic is entirely too huge to post on the web.  Resize it and try again.  The best size for pics to post on the web is 800x600 pixels.

you need to put "http://" in front of the "img."  Click on the "IMAGE" button at the bottom of the white screen when you're composing your post and paste the complete address in the box that appears.

I used Photoshop to resize the pic. That's the program I have so I am just referring to it. You may be able to use some other programs available to you.

Photoshop:
Click FILE...BROWSE (You're looking for the pic you want to work on / in this case, RESIZE)
Click IMAGE...click IMAGE SIZE...click PIXEL DIMENSION...resize to about 800 x 600 pixels.
This should fit the regular screen pretty well (just about the size I did on your pic).

Good luck

Oh yeah... I gots me plenty o' mags and buy the ammo in cases of 1600rounds
Up here you need many many mags as they are all restricted to 5 round capacity... That is, any centre fire semi-auto rifle mag. There are exceptions, like rifles that use pistol mags, and the Garand, but otherwise every AR mag up here can legally hold no more than 5 shots.
