They cancelled the stock, and shipped the trigger I had been waiting on for quite a while. Not impressed with LaRue customer service. |

PSA said that an item has to be in stock for at least an hour, and maybe longer, before it will trigger the email notification. That means by the time you see the email, it’s been on the website for at least an hour or longer, and visible to anyone who’s surfing and looking for those items. In the case of their AKs, because they sell out in 5-10 minutes, they never trigger the notification emails. With these BCGs, they were probably being bought up and may have even been gone by the time the email went out. |

Just lucky on my part, I don't even get PSA ad emails anymore. If their method of notifying people is as it is stated above, that kind of sucks. You can give your known customers slightly better service than randos with no effects on randos (although this is me being a human, I imagine proper modern management would say maximize ranods since your known customers already have some kind of a tie to you (until they figure out you are screwing them with the notifications)). |

View Quote I think a lot of manufacturers are moving towards using social media for back in stock notifications, especially now with things selling out so quickly when they're restocked. I think the email notification process doesn't work fast enough. If you look at the PSA Industry forum and the discussion about their AKs, they have a Facebook group called Palmetto State Armory AK Owners that is run by several reps from PSA. It's a discussion group, but they also post to the group when a new patch of AKs hit the website. They are literally selling out in 5-10 minutes, so the instant updates that people see on social media sometimes aren't even fast enough for people to check out through the website before they're gone. I've seen references to other companies using Instagram and other platforms for product release and restock announcements as well. In some ways, it's unfortunate, because I think companies are favoring social media followers because it's the way things are trending, but email seems to be falling out of date. I don't know much about how the email algorithms work, but it sounds like it's not instantaneous the way I would have thought, and it appears to take the manufacturers' servers some time to process and send out notifications. I've seen those delays quite a few times recently, with Arms Unlimited, Primary Arms, and other reputable online vendors, where I've clicked on an email ad right after receiving it only to find the item out of stock already. |

Solid deal from Tromix. 5x milspec extractor sets (spring, insert, oring, and extractor) for $25. Unfortunately they have $12 flat rate shipping, but that's still a pretty solid deal even if a $5 bubble mailer would work.
