I have one similar, I really like the setup there, nice rifle. |

I was at the public shooting range today (Bald Mountain state park in MI) and I noticed a guy several benches down that was shooting an AR-15 with a MAGPUL PRS stock, LaRue free foat tube and a Leupold scope. Which one of you guys was it?

You can get them apexmtn.com for like 219.00, He is a great guy to deal with. |

I forgot all about this thread when my build was done. Better late than never I suppose.

You guys have some sweet rifles.
I just wish that the PRS could be made shorter (A1 length). |
|
|
When I laid mine next to an A1 stock it was longer. When I laid it next to an A2 stock it was the same length. Mine was longer than an A1 stock. That's the length I want, A1 length. I want to be able to keep my nose on the charging handle. |

Nice rig and nice shooting! |

Nice upgrade and great pics. I'm waiting for you to give us a range report. I'm interested in how the Douglas SDM barrel does as I'm considering using one in my next build.

Here is mine:
Its a G.A. Precision built DPMS LR308 Hand lapped Mike Rock 20" barrel Worked over 2 stage trigger KMS PODLOC Harris Bipod MAGPUL PRS stock & MIAD grip DD rail BO rings & a SS 10x (I am ordering a USO SN-3 first of the year) BO muzzle break (also have a Vortex FH for it) I have only put 70 rds down range. George showed mr the targets from when it was test fired. They were under 1/2 moa. I could only keep it between 3/4" and the best was a hair over 1/2" @ 100 yds using Fed gold match 168's. Several members of this board have sent me IMs inquiring about the plastic stand that My Ultimate AR is pictured with, so I thought I would post a little information about it. The stand is one of several different models made by Plastix Plus. Here is a link to their website.... click here

Is that the 18 or 20" RRA upper. That looks identical to the build i'm doing now. |
|
|
The stock is adjustable, but not retractable, but then who knows how some bureaucrat in California defines terms. With the buttplate adjusted to its shortest length the stock is still not quite as short as an A1 stock so I don't see why it would be a problem. Maybe someone from Cali can chime in or why not go to the source and ask them....mailto:[email protected] |

Does Magpul still work on a v2.0 PRS stock ? I thought they were looking into replacing the screws or something like that ?
|
|
I'm not sure what it is you're asking, but here is a quote from Magpul's website that might help you. The Magpul PRS "... is a drop in replacement for standard AR15/M16 full sized stocks and uses stock A1/A2 rifle receiver extension (buffer tube) without the A2 spacer." |
