It's not too soon for you guys to plan on carrying some for Fall. How about it?

Oooo if it was a nice, soft, quality, heavyweight one like my Ruger, I'd buy one.

Anyone got some mock up hoodies they'd like to see? Doesn't have to be fancy, just full zip. This. I dont care for pullovers much. Would definitely be in for a full zip hoodie. |
|
I was thinking a nice dark gray or the Geissele dark blue sweat shirts that went out last year. I like simple stuff so maybe a Geissele logo up front and "For God and Country" on the back.

Anyone feel like pitching some designs for a chance to win something? Let's see how creative folks can get.

Should it be full zip, or no zip? AJ is looking at USA made Camber sweatshirts, same the Marine Shooting team uses. Navy Blue. Darn near $80 just for the hoodie. Also Champion still good but less expensive pics of the current shop sweatshirt, navy blue with lighter blue lettering http://i59.tinypic.com/1zp7iue.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/11hqr05.jpg View Quote In Florida, and parts of the south, the hoodie is the winter coat. Full Zip is preferred, because half the time we wear it open, and then when we go outside into colder areas, we zip up and pull the hood on. I like your sweatshirt design. If any changes, would take some of the fine print off of the back under the G. Edit: Oh and Fruit of the Loom makes hoodies that hold up well. |
|
Trojan man suggested a SSA as a zipper pull. that's a pretty neat idea.
|
|
Should we consider a fleece lined one or non lined, like a sweatshirt?
all good ideas and suggestions, thanks |
|
In Northwest Florida/Alabama and in the South, we wear lightweight hoodies. My concept is for a basic hoodie, not a $200.00 Mil-Spec model. Your typical sweatshirt with a full zip and a hood.
Not that something fancy wouldn't ultimately be nice too, but when LaRue sold an Arcteryx jacket with their emblem on it, few of us could afford one and they didn't offer one for very long. |
|
Hoodie, No Zip,
Reverse flag on right Sleeve, Geissele G on left. "Geissele" on the front left breast. Back can be either a stylized SSA-E or something else or nothing |
|
My wife says she wants a ladies medium in ALG purple, fleece lined, full zip, flag and logo, but no overt gun stuff.
She also said my hammer/pull idea was, and I quote, "whatever." |
|
I prefer zipped goodies because the no zip ones mess up my perfectly quaffed hair.
And sometimes it just gets too warm indoors to keep one on all the time. Just sayin' |
|

What TrojanMan said.
Full zip, decently thick material with discreet markings. Nothing that screams GUN and maybe a SSA style pull. :-) |
|
I'm glad to see that the smart people are winning.
If it helps the decision any, my wife also adds that if you make a purple, ladies cut, fleece-lined, full-zip hoodie with liberal-safe graphics, she will "wear it everywhere, and fear taking it off to wash it." I told her that was kinda gross. She told me I'm kinda gross. |

Still liking the full zip idea.
Although Id probably buy a pullover too! |

If i wanted to get warm id put a damn jacket on. not a hot ass shirt. |

full zip hoodie., black in color, white font and white SSA (or similar trigger above) all in center chest, but not huge or gaudy. with geissele.com below trigger. also USA flag or DTOM patch on one shoulder.
boom! simple and doesn't scream gun. |
|
I'd buy it if it weren't too gaudy. Something like a big Geissele G logo on the back, and the name "Geissele Automatics" underneath. A small G on the front. Maybe a US flag on a shoulder, website somewhere, whatever.
I'm not a big fan of wearing clothing, using bumper stickers, etc that call attention to the fact that I am a gun owner most of the time, though I don't fault others for doing so. At the range or gun show is different, but out on the street or at the store? Low profile, thanks. People in the know who see it can draw their own conclusions. Prefer full zip, too. |

No one was the wiser unless you were a gun owner. Made a lot of friends over the years wearing that shirt.

You end up looking like a gun billboard. Like them folks you see wearing Tapout shirts. *shudder* Something simple would be better IMO. |

No additional input on the hoodies? I'm surprised...I thought someone would go all out graphic arts on us.

Copied from CW thread.
I really have no idea on what to make. Needs to be full zip though because we ain't Mr. Rodgers. I'd like a softshell jacket or one of those weatherproof/neoprene windbreaker things. Like this. As far as ideas, hell idk. Maybe a subtle trigger and G on the chest, along with Geissele in print or embroidery down the back of one of the sleeves about 1" tall. Also have the Geissele zipper pulls and velceo on other chest and shoulders for patches. |

Well it seems full zip and low key is a constant theme so far. There are going to the store graphics and 3 gun match graphics, and I think the preference is leaning toward low key as the preference. I liked the color of the sweatshirt you pictured. http://i59.tinypic.com/1zp7iue.jpg I'd keep it to a small emblem or logo on the front like your sweat shirt. Perhaps "Geissele Automatics" text in small print under that logo. Sleeve stuff is okay to some degree. If you copied the sweat shirt you illustrated on the back, I'd leave off both the address and "Quality Triggers for the Warfighters" and just have Geissele.com in small print. If you need graphics help, perhaps a thread in GD linking to this one would illicit more artistic help. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

People like a normal jacket these days, not a Trayvon hoody. 2. The subtle trigger logo from the front makes people ask you what exactly the hell it is. You go into detail about how awesome G mans triggers are and you know the rest. 3. You want the back subtle looking so you don't look like an Afiction/Tapout poser. People walking behind you will still see the logo on your arm and possibly google it. But to the normal gun guy its not too out of place like a 3 gun shirt. 4. Everybody likes velcro for patches. Shipem with all the latest G patches so people can deck them out if they want or not. If they have a spot for a patch that they want to give equal credit to then they can do that. |
|
I vote no velcro please. That doesn't fit in well anywhere outside the gun range, IMO. Sticks out in public and screams "TACTICAL!," which I am not interested in. I want something I can wear to the grocery store without looking like I jumped out of a brigade quartermaster magazine. I certainly don't knock anyone for liking that style - to each his own - but I don't think I would wear something like that very often, and I don't like to pay a lot of money for something I'll only wear in very limited circumstances.
Actually it would be neat to have both a more low-key "stealthy" version and another louder version for those who prefer that one. I bet they could sell enough of both. |
|
I kinda just digging those blue shop sweats, be cool if it was zip up/ hoodie though.
