I saw the awesome reticle for the new PA 1-6x. It's got me very interested in the scope as I think the BDC / circle reticle is perfect for a 1-6. Care to share any details on the new scope?

Where did you see this? I have not heard of PA coming out with a 1-6x. That would be awesome though.

Link added to OP.
Will these scopes be based off of the Optisans?

Thanks for adding the link. Why is that not posted here? Anyway this could be really awesome. I am just now getting into magnified optics so I am still confused about reticles, but those seem like some great options. I have been looking at the Leupold VX-6 1-6x so I am curious how this will stack up. The one thing I didn't like about the Leupold was the lack of a BDC reticle.

Why no mention of it here?
That read as a fantastic feature set. Love the reticule... |

That was posted by the reticle designer. We have a few patent pending designs we are doing together. We hope to have the first scope with the 5.56 version before the end of the year. Yes there is a 1-6X in the works but do not have a ETA on it yet.

This is grounds to be excited! I had been waiting for a cattail for the 1-4x but I may have to just hold off until I need a cattail for the 1-6x.

Marshall, will your new 1-6X have a FFP reticule? Also while I'm being nosy, Have you talked to that guy who designed that spiffy lens cover setup for the Aimpoint micro yet?
|
|
Looking forward to it. At the same time, however, I would strongly suggest calibrating the reticle for either moa or mils and matching that with an appropriate set of knobs. Bdc reticles are almost never accurate enough for real shooters in the real world to score reliable hits at range. They just don't true with real world ballistics out of nonstandard guns and ammo rendering them of very limited value. While likely in a different target market, I would point to the swfa ss 1-6 as a good example of a reticle with real world application and value. I have one on order, but certainly have room for one of these In the safe if beneficial to my application.

PLEASE....PLEASE....do not use that reticle that Firefield is using. I had a SunclearVector scope that while was of good fit and finish, it had the same reticle. Just didn't mesh.
And as a feature request...please, if you can, make sure the retile is daylight visible. I have a Mueller 1-4x SpeedShot and the dot is very easy to acquire in bright daylight. Can't wait for this to come out! MP |

The P.A. reflex sights better be in stock when I order this new scope.
Here's my suggested combo deal: P.A. 1-6x BDC reticule scope Warne RAMP mount Two P.A. reflex sights |

WAY want. Is this going to be similar in size the the 1-4x so when mounted with the extended mount it can still be shot ntch?
I plan on using it for 3 gun and multigun, so its performance at 1x would be important to me, might I be better served by the 1-4 than this new guy? |

Actually a little shorter than the 1-4X and close to 1X. Will be at least $100 more so the 1-4X will stay in the lineup. |

What is the weight on these new 1-6x scopes? Without the mount.

I've got a home for at least one of the new 1-6X"s & several red dots. Now that Obama is in for another term, I'm hoping for a massive increase in Social Security payments

Hungry for any more info you might have about the 1-6x Marshall!

Damn.....looks like we gotta wait some more
Well we sure do appreciate all your work in making sure it IS right, rather than dropping half-assed products on us. Thank you for that Primary Arms!!!! |

I was leaning towards the Vortex 1x4 but, I just bought a new Colt 6920 from WalMart for a cool $930.25 OTD and this scope may rest on top of her one day. |

I'm interested too, the 7.62x39 version would be great for 300 BLK too, I would think.
I can't help but like PA optics, for my needs, they are great. |
|
Will that reticle by chance be making it into the 3x and 5x compacts? Do that and ditch the rails and you'll have an optic that will be even more impossible to keep in stock!

It will be in the 5X compact as well. That might be the first one to show up. Rails are still here. If the factory ever catches up we will look at a better way to make them easy to remove. |

Anything on the 1-6x with the new PA reticle? The reticle on the last two prototypes was not dead on. I think I found the problem and once confirmed will get a ship date. |

If yall ever want to part with one of the prototypes, I will be more than happy to punish one on my Cetme.

Will we see the 5X or the 1-6 first?
I got to play with a Burris AR536 today and liked it a lot. Cheaper and with a better reticle from you guys sounds a lot better. |

Will we see the 5X or the 1-6 first? Marshall has been pretty consistent in saying that the fixed magnification model will pop up first. |

Actually it is look like the fixed 6X non prisim might be first. We received a updated sample of that one today and once the reticle is verified accurate the factory is ready to go. |

So there's a fixed 6X, 1-6, and fixed 5X prism coming?
Any ideas on weight for the 1-6? |

I assume both the 1-6X and fixed 6X scopes have 30MM tubes? Or is the fixed 6X a 1" tube?
Also: does the fixed 6X have "adjustable target knobs". I'd prefer not but I was thinking it probably would? |

I do know thw fixed ^ will be the entry level piece with a 1" tube. 1-6X is 30mm. The factories are closed for two week for their new year so no updated for a while. |

Ok the most important question answered, thank you! Glad I didn't order the integral 30mm ring mount
