Need complete pistol uppers. Glock and colt style dedicated lowers. Must have threaded barrels as well. We can all dream right.
|
|
Definitely need a short upper in the lineup.
I'm curious about the buffer itself. I know I run a Hahn sub buffer in mine. Curious what comes in this kit? Also, some details on the magwell block? Insert from top or bottom? Set screw or not? LRBHO functional or not? |
|
Steel buffer
Mag block drops in from the top, no set screw needed. The bolt does hold open on the last round when used with our magazines. |

Will you remove the uber dangerous 32 round clip for us folks in Kalifornia? And is there a 10 round mag for it. Thanks. Can't wait to get one.
|
|
Please please please Glock mags. Please. My PSA AR is lonely in the safe and needs some 9 mm and 308 siblings.
|
|
My buy point is going to be pistol length with Glock mags. A man can dream eh?

Regular stripped are lowers are fine. P and +P should be fine Other magazine models are in the works The buffer tube is mil-spec diameter The Bolt assembly is not HPT MPI |

^^ I posted the thread title in my second post citing PSA saying other mag models are in the works. Posting from mobile now so I can't get the link for you.

Would the Yankee Hill: YHM-80-5C2 work? Made for 6.8 and the like. Not sure if that has enough clearance for 9mm/.355 dia bullet. +1 to the pistol uppers. If this is "Dream On" Thursday, how about this? Something w/ say a 11 1/2" barrel. Similar to the YHM-82-T but fluted and in mid length. w/ a .750 gas block, & 1/2-28 end threads... Make that, and I'd be tempted to break a promise I made to the wifie After my wounds healed, I'd go with a Vortex SPARC, the hooded yhm flip up sight/gas block +rear flip up buis, polymer lower (sorry), light weight hand guard (magpul probably) and a sigtac backend. That could be a fun light weight little plinker! I dont think I'll go down the PA-10 road (or any ar10 clone) for a few different reasons, but surprised to be tempted by the 9mm idea, after some tweaking that improves post purchase options. (yes to the glock mags). All this talk about dreaming has gotten me nostalgic

What thread is on the flash hider? 1/2-36 Would the Yankee Hill: YHM-80-5C2 work? Made for 6.8 and the like. Not sure if that has enough clearance for 9mm/.355 dia bullet. The description on yhm.net describes that to work on 6.8, 7.62x39 and 9mm. I just run a TROS 1/2-36x1/2-28 adapter on mine. |

I have questions if anybody is in the know
Is there much of a difference of reliability between the glock mag lower and the colt mag lower? Also, would there be a difference in type of lower receiver required--does a glock mag make a lower dedicated to a caliber/function? Finally, is there a need for HPT/MP for handgun cartridge AR? |

View Quote Bolt hold open is superior with colt pattern mag styles. Glock mag styles are having hit and miss issues with a last round hold open but Quarter Circle 10 is working on this. THE ONLY WAY TO USE GLOCK MAGS IS A DEDICATED LOWER MADE FOR THEM, NO ADAPTERS WILL WORK. Being as the bolt is blockback, and has no moving bolt head like the 5.56 platform, it is not as crucial to have it MPT MP tested with the lower pressures. There is however a chance for OOB discharges with the pistol caliber rifles. |

When it first went live it only said "32 round PSA Colt-style magazine". I'm glad it includes a Metalform magazine. I've had bad luck with C-Products 9mm magazines with my 7.5" RRA 9mm upper. |

In order to prevent mishaps that could occur with a 5.56 muzzle device on a 9mm, we opted to make the thread pitch different.

Everything else 9mm I have is threaded 1/2x28. It would be nice to not have to change the mount on my Octane 9 every time I want to use it on this upper. Please do some pistol length barrels in 1/2-28. Pleeeaase. That's a good idea. Make the SBR barrels more silencer friendly with 1/2x28 threads. |

The more I think about it I doubt they will have a Glock mag lower since PSA is in the assembly game and not manufacturing, especially since theres only 2 companies I know of making glock mag lowers and both are over $250 a pop.

Palmetto now has one less kit in stock
It's too bad that there isn't any PSA branded Metalform magazines offered for sale--hint..hint |

Quoted: Quoted: Well I guess my post above was wrong, Glock style lowers are coming confirmed at about the 2:00 mark Glock Mag AR15 in 9mm, good move PSA! Is there an estimated date that you'll be selling the glock 9mm version? Are you planning to have a dedicated lower, or a mag block for the glock version? Honestly, if you guys offer assembled pistol lowers with the sig brace that take glock mags my credit card will likely catch fire. |
