I started this thread because I was interested in finding out whether anyone had received their 6933, or even gotten the serial number. I've since added to the thread to gather all the information I could find on the this model. Feel free to add to thread as appropriate.

Living in Illinois is killing me, I want one of those so bad, No SBR's here though
Wisconsin is just a short 2 miles north of me and the wife is wanting a new house, If I thought I could pick one up as soon as I moved it would probably be worth it Wisconsin is a much more gun friendly state For God's sake dont put a picture in this thread or I'll be calling the real estate agent today |

Well Im in and now I just have to get the C3 dealer in my state to help me with the paperwork and whatever fees he is going to charge.
I put money down on one a couple weeks ago. I'm almost tempted to grab a second....I want one to lovingly keep in the safe, and another to get it on with.
If I only get the one, I wouldn't know what to do with it.... |

I placed my order for one in November,
They are starting to get them in now. I spoke to Howard and he is a great guy, There is a very limited batch at the moment so take it well it's here and dont hesitate to do business with David or Howard. Sincerly, Cowboy |
Any word yet on when these will be ready to ship to our C3 dealers??
That looks so damn evil. I gotta have one.
Ok, I had this dream where they screwed up and shiped FA units.
Hello,
Howard has told me that he is starting to receive paper work for those who sent in the deposit, So i think it takes about three months and then they will ship it to your local class three dealer. Sincerely, Cowboy |
I hear they may be coming in this week. . . .

I just got an email from Howard. He's got 100 inbound and another 50 in 4 weeks. Those in the first 100 should be getting a "balance due" note from Howard.
Time to go get finger printed. |

Whhat..... the ad shows that the M4 LE commando also has the markings on the obverse side!!! is this correct??? EDIT: now that i look at it, that picture also has 3 selector markings.... odd... |

don't put too much into those photos. they were 'put together' to give buyers and idea of what they will look like There wasn't one to photograph. I do not know what the roll marks are to be, but I do know that I paid deposit early on in the process, and have now paid in full, and eagerly await mine. Howard implied those would be shipping week of 3/21 (probably shipping to him not me, but I would hope to get that turned around pretty quick) This hasn't happened yet, but I am optimistic that it will and I will be one of the lucky first 100 to get theirs. You will hear the woot call out - no matter where you are, so it will be easy to tell whether it happened or not.... |

I sent my money in (first batch too).
Still waiting for the Form 3 for my can to clear to dealer so I can sen d in the Form 4. already got the form-4 signed for this one waiting for a serial number. For some reason, this transfer seems to stick in my head more than teh SOS 45 (which I basically just put out of mind so as not to drive me crazy) I blame you people! First you force me to buy it, now you keep reminding me that I don't have it yet! |
It's killing me too....As I can't decide if I should get 1 or 2...... |
I bought two and so should you

Hard to imagine how you'd ever lose money on it.
(Sometimes I wish I didn't live in Washington but at least it's not New York or California) |

Alright guys. I just received my email requesting final payment on my rifles.
From David: " Photos are attached of the receiver markings. Left side reads M4LE Colts Law Enforcement. Right side reads Restricted Military/Government/Law Enforcement/Export Use Only. The model is LE6933 which is not in the Colt catalog. The guns have the Commando upper with 11.5" barrel. Since the guns are semi-auto, they are not marked Commando. This is the only version of the LE gun which has been made with this upper. The boxes are marked LE6933. Each gun comes with sling, two mags, manual and box. " Too bad they are not marked "Commando", but what the hell...these are nice! Kudos to David! |

+1. I was thinking of getting 2, but now I think I will just get the 1, and build another SBR out of a Bushmaster upper for several hundred less. |

curious as to where you heard that El_A. I had the same impression but cannot place the source (damned CRS again.) anyway, minor disappointment ? I guess Id say so, but based on the pix, I would also say there is a lot more excitement than disappointment. like 99-1 It still is a special edition model (LE6933) and will be a terrific addition to someones line-up. I fthe AR15 platform lasts in popularity for the next 10 years or so, I suspect this model will be a gem. |

I'm buying it because it's a factory SBR, so won't have my name engraved on it. In addition, it's Colt!
The more limited it is, the better the chances I could get something for it if I eventually sell it, but I'm not holding my breath. The presence or absence of "Commando" markings don't make a difference to me really. But then, I'm only getting the one, which I will shoot, so I've a different perspective then others. |

I have one coming in as well and Im torn, I really want to take off the front sight base and install a flip up YHM like on my 6721 for the Aimpoint. I also want to put on a Phantom 5C2 flash hider. Im also thinking of a Magpull stock. I have no intrest in ever selling it but I still like the idea of keeping it stock. I guess Ill have time to decide.
I'll be keeping it "easily reversible". The front sight can be replaced and still returned, the FH will come off for a Gemtech. I'll use a SIR so I don't need to remove the delta ring, and I'll use the VLTOR stock so I don't need to remove the staked buffer tube. |

I would like to at least get it transfered to my local class 3 guy. Then I could at least shoot it at his indoor range while the paperwork is going thru.

Well, it seems a few of these carbines have made it out into the market from the primary source. I've counted two posts on other boards with "WTS" adds for these guns. $1850.00 and up...I'm glad I jumped on the wagon when I did.

OK, has anyone actually seen one yet or gotten the paperwork ball rolling. I would think there would be some movement if he had the rifles local like he told me.

Hey guys. I don't have one ordered...someday maybe. I just wanted to let you know that I saw them listed "in stock" here...right on the front page/third one down...just click on it to see more pics. Nice carbine. Congrats to those of you getting one.
