What are the rough odds that the V2 style BCGs will be in within the next two weeks? Interested in either the Nitride or NiB model.
Need a quality BCG to go with the V7 Barrel I just got. |

Same question. Would love to spend money with you but itching to get my rifle running.

Cool. Didn't get the "notify when in stock' email, so thanks. Been wanting one of these for awhile.

Didn't get the notify either but still ordered it lightning fast.

I've got a NiB budget one, I also have a hard chrome one and a titanium nitride coated one, is there any reason I should order one of these?

|
Any Idea on the
black nitride might be the one you are calling melonited but thought that ws the $79 one. Ordered a Mosin sling and will be picking it up Wens/Friday, need the BCG to finish brothers build. |

phosphate budget $79 (soon)
NiB budget $99 (soon) Melonite V2 $99 (week) NiB V2 $129 (a few weeks) |
|
$79.95 Budget BCG in stock. Just got my email.
Hopefully NIB Budget are close behind |
|
Got my NiB bcg today. Looks nice. I was kind of surprised that it rattles. I think the nib finish is thinner than parkerizing so the cam pin has a little more wiggle room than my Colt parked bcg's. Hopefully I can try it out this weekend.

Sweet looking to pick up a pair of the Melonite V2 $99 bcg.
The NIB V2's that I ordered showed up this week. Looking to get one dirty in the next week or two. |

Is it common for the bolt in the NiB BCG's to turn black after less than 100 rounds? I lubed my new BCG tonight with some FP10 and fired 70 rounds. The carrier wiped off and looks like new. The 2nd half of the bolt and bolt tail are black and it wouldn't wipe off with any cleaner. I'm not upset and I don't care as long as the bolt functions. Is the main function of the NiB coating lubricity vs ease of cleaning?
Again, not a complaint, just curious. Thanks |

I think so. After watching some you tube vids I thought it would wipe right off. Looks like it's burned onto the finish. I hate scraping baked on carbon off of my phosphate bolt tails, so I thought the NiB treatment would make it a little easier. The finish still feels smooth and as long as it works properly I'm not concerned. Is there some special cleaner or lube you recommended for Nib products?

They discolor / stain from shooting, especially near the bolt tail. Just how it is, and it doesn't hamper the good properties of the coating any. |

I was too slow on the last batch of the budget carriers. Waiting anxiously on the V2 melonite and the budget to come back.

Update to my earlier post about the bolt turning black. Semichrome polish took the carbon off and now my bolt is Pimptastic. Don't know if semi chrome will hurt anything as I've never used it for any gun related activities, bit my father in law suggested it. It is shiny and smoother than ever. Can't wait to get to the range again tomorrow and give it another workout.

Semichrome won't hurt anything.
I even know some competitive shooters who use it to clean their barrels! I would try to be sure to clean all of the polish off before firing it, but even that is probably not necessary. |

Would it polish if I threw the bcg into a brass polisher (tumbler)? |

When will these be instock?
|

True that. Saving up a whole order when those get in. Hope the other stuff I want doesn't go out of stock before that.

$79 BCG came and went this afternoon and I got one. You snooze you looze.

They still have them in stock. I got....some :) Would be nice if a sticker was sent. Have a blank spot on my safe that is screaming for attention. Shame you got to beg for a 20 cent sticker when you spend $100's !
