that looks like a 9.0DD rail, but a carbine gas system? Actually, it looks like a 16" midlength heavy barrel like mine, but with a gas block instead of front sight base. the gas block looks to be shortened so that very little is exposed outside of the handguard.
Yup, gotta be!! |
DD 9.5 with the match carbine barrel w/standard SS PRi gas block.
Is that carbine barrel the same 0.9" under the handguards as the DMM4?
yes |

Nothing fancy - 20" Wilson SS bull barrel, fluted w/standard FSB set screwed in place. There are always package deals, just lemme know what yo're looking for |

3 inch group at 600 yds from a 16" barrel...
lmfao... Im laughing because i cant believe how ridiculously awesome that is.. so maybe my 18" will drop that down to 1 or 2... doubt my trigger finger can pull that off though.. might have to invest in a shooting rest. |
What kind of trigger is in that thing tho? For the time being I will be using a ghetto rigged trigger job by modifying the stock trigger springs.. id say it lightened the pull by about 30-40% and smoothed it up a bit.

RRA 2 stage trigger. |

Bigbore, that Mod0 is a work of art. It's a "Perfect Clone" to say the least. |

Yes, and light weight. The poor guy has been waiting since September for that upper! |
Whats the cost on that thang?
Will the wait be as long for another? Or can you tune my current middy for a reasonble price? Maybe Lumpy will see one on a lower..... thanks. |

What about the tick marks on the Leupold (turrets)? I guess you don't need them...
I asked Damian about that, and he says they are still visible.
I can't wait to get some range time with that setup. |

How well does that camo hold up? Once I get my barrel in I want to either have that done, or KG coat my entire gun Tan.
I'd sure like to see the finished product of the builds that these 2 uppers were for |

Here's an email I just got from one of them. I am enclosing some pics of my DMM4 upper that you built for me as finally finished by yours truly. I couldn't be more pleased with this rifle. As you can see from the attached target, accuracy was nothing short of AMAZING at 100yards and I expect that it'll hold that well beyond 100!!! In short: 1) your upper (you know the specs); 2) Ops, Inc. 4-port brake (zero recoil and follow-up shots are quick to put it mildly; need to get it blasted to match up w/ the bbl's grey finish); 3) RRA NM lower; 4) Magpul M93 Stock and MIAD grip; 5) ARMS Mount and Harris BRM-S bipod; 6) Matech 600M BUIS; 7) Trijicon ACOG TA31F; 8) Shooting BH 69gr BTHP Match ammo. 9) Weight is just under 9.5lbs (by my calculations...don't have a scale best-suited to this type of job). Thanks again for your help on this build up. Feel free to post these wherever you desire on ARFCOM or elsewhere or just hang on to them for future reference. |

Chewbacca...
That is my upper & build-up... The upper has the 16" SS Match barrel contoured and chambered by WOA with a MID Gas System and Wylde Chamber. The twist is a 1 in 7. The upper itself is a WOA with a WOA bolt with o-ring and complete carrier assembly. I can personally attest that this setup will SHOOT!!! Essentially, this upper is one of Steve's DMM4 (Designated Marksman, M4) carbines with a few changes that I had custom ordered. There is a thread on the DMM4...here ya go... ADCO DMM4 Thread ORD out... |

Steve -
Just wondering out loud (so to speak), but is it possible to put a bull barrel inside a tube from one of the more notable rail manufacturers (such as LT, DD, KAC, Troy, etc)? The type of barrel I am thinking of is just a RRA SS bull barrel or something similar. Thanks. Matt |

I should be posting pictures of my Adco Pac-Nor barreled Recon in a few weeks.
