Got my order of Stealth Gray today for my Midlength, CTR, MOE Grip and MOE Handguards. Brownells did a great job having the Stealth Gray items in stock and plenty of them, not to mention they shipped in no time, can't beat that.

Tamiya model paints has a grey that seems to work well item number AS10, it looks pretty good in the light and matches well, I painted a foliage green(pmag) as it was the best base color(not to light, not to FD earth)

Is it me or does the stealth gray look like it has a bit of a blue tinge to it compared to when it was first shown? Like Magpul was trying to match Arcteryx/BFG Urban Wolf Gray.

The color has not changed and is very close to wolf gray clothing.
It is one of those colors (like foliage) that seems to be hard to photograph. The flash seems to bring out the blue in the gray (Like wolf gray it is a cool dark gray vs a warmer gray which would appear reddish) |

I wish I understood why Magpul doesn't make these. They would sell more than they could make, and it would cause people like me to buy new furniture.

Couple questions. Is Magpul going to make the normal rail covers in Stealth Gray? I tried looking for them on their site and couldn't find them.
Next question is has Magpul ever given a reason why they aren't making any gray pmags? I'm very ignorant when it comes to this stuff, but to me it's seems like all they would have to do is change out the color of polymer to make they gray pmags. I'm sure they would sell more than they could make since Magpul is said to be discontinuing colors. I'm sure people would be buying gray ones 20 at a time. |

Can anybody from Magpul or possibly The Tactical Coyote chime in if Magpul is planning on making just the normal ladder style covers in grey?

I'm digging this color. When taking pictures, I think more vibrant colors in the mix would help accentuate the stealth grey. It seems the studio type portraits with white background and lighting makes the stealth grey hard to see. It comes out like a black and white picture.
Is the stealth grey darker than the magazine followers on the M3 PMAGs? I'd like to see a picture of them side by side. |
