Next gen MBUS Front Sight
The MBUS 3 incorporates the best features, strengths, and value of our original MBUS and MBUS Pro Sights in a feature-packed back-up sight system. Significantly reduced in size from the MBUS, it sits at just .44” when folded and 1.15” at its widest point. Constructed of our impact-resistant polymer, it’s lightweight and extremely durable and its aesthetics and features are derived from the MBUS Pro line. With the same spring-loaded technology as its predecessor, it can be deployed with an ambidextrous push-button. It sits at standard AR-height when deployed and includes tool-less elevation adjustments and a dual width enhanced front sight. Features Tool-less elevation adjustment similar to the MBUS Pro and ambidextrous push-button deployment Dual width enhanced front sight similar to MBUS Pro 0.44” high when folded and 1.15” wide at widest point Standard AR-height when deployed Next gen MBUS Rear Sight The MBUS 3 incorporates the best features, strengths, and value of our original MBUS and MBUS Pro Sights in a feature-packed back-up sight system. These look incredible. I plan on holding off on purchasing Gen 2’s but is there an estimated release date for these?

Waiting as well. Love me some new Magpul stuff.
Need to see the Savage Hunter Rifle stocks on the shelves as well. And, maybe, pretty please, some M-Lok panel rail covers that are not as aggressively textured as the Type 2. |

2 days ago SportsmansOutdoorSuperstore advertised a clearance on MBUS Gen 2 sights.
Hoping this means the Gen 3's are soon en route. |

Fighting the urge to buy gen 2's on clearance because I want to try the gen 3's. Coming Soon...

Magpul's website says these new MBUS sights are "coming in late summer 2021".

Sigh....... |

Well, Brownells took my money on these for a backorder back in March... and can't provide an ETA of when they'll have them.

Not sure what the appeal is of these aside from being smaller at the same price (just get pros), but for me, I wouldn't trust a polymer sight that has even less material than the MBUS already does. I've heard magpul complain before that if it wasn't for the design of the AR15 magwell, they could make the magazines even thicker and stronger. Polymer is one material you really don't want to sacrifice on thickness as it will really compromise the strength of the object.
Polymer also becomes weaker over time, which will only exasperate the problem long term. I would hope that they don't discontinue the MBUS 1st gen. |

Any update on when these are going to start shipping?

If there are bugs to worked out in materials, manufacture, and design I'd rather wait for them than have Magpul shove less than perfect product into the marketplace.

An update on these would be nice. I’d actually like to pick up a set of these.

View Quote The appeal to me is getting the tool-less front sight adjustment like the Pros, but at the regular MBUS price. I hate having to keep a sight adjustment tool with my one rifle with MBUS polymer sights. The others have the Pros or no buis at all. Lighter weight than the Pros and in Magpul’s OD green are pluses too. What can I say, I’m currently doing a lightish-weight build with Magpul OD green furniture, and these would be a nice addition. |

If these were going to be released any time soon, an actual firm release date would have been announced already. There’s three months and change left in the year. Fall is Sep 1 to Dec 1. And the industry rep hasn’t bothered to post here in ever. I guess since we aren’t customers of lame shirts and off-road Volkswagen vans we aren’t cool to them anymore.

View Quote Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down there hotshot. You obviously didn’t receive the product release email that I received this morning……. BRAND NEW DESIGNS FOR EVERYONE Had you received this email and seen these amazing new t-shirt designs, you’d have forgotten all about the new sights or stock you’ve been waiting on. Since you clearly haven’t seen the new designs, here is a screen shot of the release email. I bet you’ve already forgotten that you came here to ask about the release of the MBUS 3. You’re welcome. GOT EEM!
Do those shirts come in sets of two that I can attach to my rifle and aid in aiming shots fired by said rifle? |

So first day of fall was Wednesday September 22. Last day of fall is December 21. That’s 87 days from today for Magpul to get their shit together. I’m thinking of opening a deadpool style betting board.

For those tired of waiting, what other options are you considering?

I spoke with a Magpul CSR a few days ago and asked about availability.
CSR said MBUS 3 might be pushed into early 2022. They must be having some launch issues. |
