First let me say I am not a Marksman. This is my first barrel for my first build.

I took it to the range last weekend. I shot at the standard round 100yard target. the one with 1" blocks. Ok so I used Lake City 55grain ammo from another online dealer. I shot a total of 50 rounds. I do NOT have an optic (cant make up my mind!) I am using the Magpull MBUS rear flip up sight with the del-Ton pinned F Marked front sight with standard Mil Spec front post.

Ok So when I built the rifle I had NO idea how far in the front sight block to install the post. So I guessed. I had no spotting scope so it was shoot 10 rounds (DAMN KOMMIEFORNIA!) wait till range was safe and go look at target. I was using sandbags for the front of rifle off the bench. I was trying to be Rambo with the rear of rifle. It was not the best

1st 10 rounds. all 10 rounds were within a 3" circle. 3" low and 2" to the right. I adjusted the front sight 1 full turn (4clicks) down. I also adjusted the MBUS one line to the right.

2nd 10 rounds all 10 rounds were within same 3" circle, 1 flyer that almost hit the bulls eye (Lucky Shot) 2" low and 2" to the right (at least I'm moving sights in right direction) I adjusted front sight 2 full turns down. Moved rear sight 1 more line to the right.

3rd 10 Rounds. On this one I took most all of my old shaky ass out of the equation. I built up sandbags under Magpull MOE grip and well as made the front of rifle much more stable. The gun actually stood there on its own. I really took my time on this 10 rounds. my old eyes had trouble looking through the MBUS. I had to take my head out of the sight plane and refocus then shoot, pull head out shoot REPEAT! I shot all 9 rounds (used one bullet from that mag for CA bullet button! DAMN KOMMIEFIORNIA) anyway all 9 rounds shot 1" high and 1" to the right. Obviously that last full turn down on front sight was a 1/2 too far. I did not have a sight tool with me so used tiny screwdriver and a roll pin punch for detent. The GREAT news was all 9 shots were in a 1.5" circle. No flyers. I know it was not in the Bulls eye but if the barrel grouped that well with flip up sights, military ammo and an old shaky bastard shooting I would say that's a WIN.

I fully expect it to shoot much better with an optic, better ammo, better eyes and more practice.

I shot at a 225yard gong and hit it 3 out of 6 rounds then tried shooting at the 300 yard but never got close. The safest thing on the range was that target!

My last 10 rounds I moved over to my brother in laws lane and shot at a reactive target he had set up. He spend most of the day repairing, cussing and repairing his AR15 that has every trinket known to man on it! He spent well over 2K (my guess from the parts I saw) on his rifle build. I spent right at $800 on mine and its never missed a BEAT! On that last target of his I did not have a chance to see how I did. He got pissed and crumpled it up and threw it in the trash before I could look at it! I think I out shot him and he was not in a good mood after that. I cant say for a 100%. He did keep saying all the way to range that my barrel would not be accurate. I KNOW I proved him WRONG.

So I am 100% fully satisfied with Del-ton. Barrels are excellent. all other parts for my last 2 builds have been perfect. Well built. Fit and finish is great and packaged well. Also fine shipping times to my house.

If any wants my rifle specs let me know. This was just a barrel range report. I had put 200 round through the rifle before taking it to the range. Did not really have a chance before the range to sight it in.

Good to hear!   They are GTG.  I think Del-Ton's are the unsung secret in the barrel world.      

Shooting 100 yards at a 100 yard target?  If so, your a better Marksman than me!  I always say my Del-Ton barrels shoot better than I can.
I never use bags or skids to zero rifles.  I believe in zeroing in how you're normally going shoot, but that's me.

What type of barrel or rifle do you have... 16" Middy LW or Heavy, M4 Carbine-type, CL or not, or something else?   We always like pictures

Sorry about your BIL's rifle.  
Sometimes builds need a little fiddling with buffers to run good on certain configuration builds.  Sometimes an O-Ring in the BCG is needed or not needed.  
I hope he was using a US factory, brass and 5.56 rounds.  I'm sure he was frustrated.   He'll get it running right.  

Thank goodness mine all run great and never have had problems.
