Ok, this is how this works, you make a post, when you are online, you edit it to say so, and what frequency.

When you are off, edit it to say offline.

Call signs are optional, most of us know each other's anyway.

If we all pitch in we could have a nice easy way to spot each other.

Ill start:

Offline

Yeah, it was. Too bad you couldn't hear the guy in CT with 5w. That was fun, and you sounded better than any time in the past. A good 2 S units better.
The guy from FL was talking to someone else when I left.
Edit: The guy with the KX3 was surprised my radio had a CW decoder and a tuner built in for less than a third of the cost of his radio alone.

Well, I wasn't doing anything different, so maybe that new antenna works well?

The bands were doing pretty well. I think it is going to be a good antenna.

What was that power supply you said you were going to get? You dipped into the noise just when you were naming it.

Italian (I think) contest station, easy copy in AR on 21.287 rn. Not coming back to him, I don't intend to jump through the logging hoops and don't want to waste the guy's time.

7.200 and 14.313 are the international tuning nets.

I.e. Sesame Street. Mental midget VE3KFM's favorite frequency. Occasionally I'll tune in for lulz. It ranges from mindless banter to hard core graphic discussions or even outright calls for rape, murder, arson, and rape.

I've been trying to work a little more on the radios lately doing mostly FT8.
I only need Hawaii to get my WAS, I am on the east coast and  never see any Hawaii stations on at the usual times I am up and about.

What is a good time to catch a station from Hawaii ?

I've tried kicking around on the bands 10, 15, 20, 40, I use PSK Reporter to check my propagation and have made contacts in Japan and Australia .
I also use grid tracker

I've had one morning contact but the rest were 1900-0300z. 4 on phone with hamsticks, four 20m FT8.
KH6WI formerly KD9TEZ is probably one of the most active since he does POTA so watch for his spots.

Probably isn't even a net. That's their excuse every single time. But But But....its a net! Thing is, technically they can't bogart the freq from you. Don't get me wrong, the gentlemanly and proper thing to do is QSY for an established net. But you don't have to if you're there first. They don't own shit.

Matter of fact, stand by while I cook a bite of breakfast. If anybody wants to post up, I'm frequency-agile and agile in no other way.

Might I suggest you start a new thread in the Ham Forum to announce your recent entry into our hobby?  I think you will find a lot of support and guidance since not all members follow this thread.

ETA: let me know when you are up on voice HF and we will schedule a QSO.  I can get the west coast on a regular basis.

Ok! I don't have a mic, or even a pair of headphones. I spent $100 on a Thrustmaster USAF headset and it fell apart after a month.

21.335.00 Kilowatt Foxtrot 5 station, firing up now.

ETA: Quick QSO with FL, cup of coffee (shack is cold) and back to calling for a little bit.

2200 UTC edit: A couple of good quick QSOs on 15, but noise up and down. More coffee and a QSY to 10m if anyone is up to it.
