Other than the source (UAE) it seems to be yet another striker fired, polymer frame, glock, M&P etc etc clone...
Am I missing something? |

Well, for one it appears that the slide lock is polymer and an integral part of the frame.
Steel slide vs plastic slide lock? I think it would wear out in short order and require the purchase of a new frame. |

If the frame is polymer then the pistol is using an integral slide lock made of polymer. Certainly reduces the parts count, but there's a reason other manufacturers make their's from steel. |

Sure looks like it to me. BTW, I didn't know either until I watched that video. I always thought the skeleton piece on the accutrigger was just for looks. |

PWNED! |

From Wiki:
On 15 January 2009 Caracal received an export licence from the United States, which will enable it to ship its products to the United States.[6] According to Caracal's commercial director Saeed Ali Al Shamsi, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms gave its approval for sales in the United States in May 2009 and the company plans to embark on a soft launch of the firearms in America in 2010 with the handguns selling for up to USD 720 (AED 2,650) in North America. |

Anybody else sick of safety triggers? The trigger in trigger is very annoying to me. An automatic grip safety makes alot more sense, and is alot more ergonomic. |

I think it would wear out in short order and require the purchase of a new frame. The slide stop is steel. What you are seeing is that there is a contour on the frame that enshrouds the slide stop, except for the serrated tab that you press upon to release the slide. |

Anybody else sick of safety triggers? Nope. Not having a safety means your not over thinking it's intended use. |

Pistols come and go......That on looks like a goer.
Does remind me a bit of the South African 'Vector' pistol of a decade or so back. |
|
EAA is going to start importing them sometime this year. If they want anyone to buy them they'll have to beat the prices of Glock, S&W, Springfield, etc on their similar pistols. I'd get one at less than 400 NIB with at least 2 mags.

Quoted: Does remind me a bit of the South African 'Vector' pistol of a decade or so back. The DoDo bird...Remember what happened to them? Funny you would say Vector, I just thought about & looked them up a week or so ago. I almost bought one back then, wish I had now. Imagine what a NIB copy of those could go for. |

That's an XD overlaid for those wondering. |

Supposedly they are developing ones in the PDW calibers. (4.6 and 5.7) Why can't someone develop a Glock style handgun in the original PDW caliber, 7.62 Tokarev? You'd figure someone would have done it by now since there are so many Glock knockoffs anymore.

Is that a clip on the side of it?
If so, it's on the wrong side of the frame, and also backwards... |
|
Are you trying to point out how the caracal is similar in slide but has a much lower profile slide than the XD?
|
|
Quoted: Are you trying to point out how the caracal is similar in slide but has a much lower profile slide than the XD? I think it's just a size reference. The XD may have been a poor choice however, since its bore axis is higher then Willie Nelson. |

Like everything else the UAE does, hire someone else to do the work.
|
|
Quoted: Is that a clip on the side of it? If so, it's on the wrong side of the frame, and also backwards... I think that's just an optical illusion. That looks like a recess in the frame. |
