cool
I wanted one when I had my C&R.. but the sold out pretty damn quick. |

You refer to it as a "copy". What level of interchangeability does it have with standard 1911s? Sweet pistol and a fantastic Christmas gift.

I really like the grip on that. That is a neat handgun that you have there. Thanks for sharing.

It is a "copy" only in the sense that the Argentine military wanted a pistol that looked like a 1911. The designers of this pistol "simplified" the design of this pistol to make them easier and less expensive to build. They did things like remove the grip safety and re-designed the trigger to make them easier to produce. But the military was concerned about interchangeability of parts. After some consideration, it was decided that the main parts that needed to be interchangeable were the barrel, the operating spring, and the magazines. These are the only parts that are easily interchangeable. |

Cool little piece. I love it when engineers simplify things without making them cheap and unreliable.

Nice weapon!
With no grip safety, would you want to do an Israeli draw with it? |
|
That is a great post!
I like how the built-in beavertail accomodates the original trigger, too. Pretty doggone smart of them to design it that way. HH |

Pistol looks very nice...re-blue or not.
Glad she runs well and the group looks good too. That is a very fine gift and you are blessed. |
|
Great post.
I'm not even close to familiar with all the guns out there, so this was interesting. And I like the fact there's no grip safety. |
|
Interesting piece of history.
More interesting is your use of yellow ear plugs over the use of two live rounds placed in your ears |

Nice report, I've always liked the Ballerina Molester. Me too. I've handled them at gun shows, but never shot one until now. It runs great, and is a pleasure to shoot. |

Man I need to find out who all these people are sending you free guns all the time and shit !

I really am. |

I ran into a box of them (wrapped in what looked like a five decade old soup of cosmoline and wax paper) marked "$150 each." I still regret not getting half a dozen one of them.
Would it be sinful to put on some new sights and refinish one as a beater .45? They are certainly sexy. - BG |

I also was not that familiar with this model, and had to do a little research about the history. I am not bothered by the grip safety on the 1911, but I know there are a lot of folks that don't like them. No problem with this one. |

Thats pretty awesome. I really like the simplified copies of the 1911. Its almost like what the Russians did when they built the TT33.

Quoted: Selling mine is one of my "gun sale regrets" Same here. Ugly as hell on the outside (finish, or lack thereof wise), but way more accurate and reliable than expected. |
|
Very cool.
The design of the trigger, hammer, and MSH reminds me a lot of my Star Model B and SS. |
|
oh man, merry christmas! now where do i get some friends like that?
