I actually thought the socialist scum over at Time would pick John Walker or Bin Laden..............................given their track record for picking people like Hitler, Stalin, and other POS...........good choice - this time........

Yes, it is indeed suprising that the most commie liberal, republican hating, unAmerican publication in the country actually picked someone that is not the cause of the problem.

Rudy Guiliani is a good choice but he's only affected New York.  I think GW is a better choice.

He came in under controversy with 50% of the country saying he wasn't their President.  The Dems claimed he was stupid and very weak on forgein policy.  The liberals claimed his oil company ties would result in $3 a gallon gas.

He has now kicked butt in Afganistan, has a 90% approval rating, and we have $1 a gallon gas.  GW has done for the country what Rudy has done for NY.  Since it's man of the year and not man of NY I think GW should have gotten it.

I sure how GW comes out firing with both barrels about how the Dems are screwing the American people by not passing the stimulus package.  The Dems know the economy is going to recover in 2002 and don't want any more of GW plans to pass, especially another tax cut.  The claim that tax cuts hurt the country will be nothing but smoke when the economy recovers next year.  The Dems are now claiming that Bush's plan is "too expensive"  and that it "is not large enough".

Well, Rudy was the best of what was there to choose from.
He's all for gun control.

I understand what he's been doing in NY after 9-11 is great but isn't he antigun?
Hasn't he tried in the past to disarm citizens?

If I'm wrong I apologize.

I also think G. Bush jr. should have gotten the award.

I agree 110%, but I think the chance of declaring Geo. W. Jr. Man of the Year, is about as likely as Time declaring that assualt weapons are NOT dangerous. GWB Jr. is proving that compromise & negoiations long the hallmark of the democrats/liberals(news media, feminists, lawyers) have most fallen by the waist side among the USA mainstream.  Notice the news media don't cover those protests against the war in Afghanistan. Some of the more radical libs/democrats weren't all that enthusiasted about the flying of the USA flag.  Time was not about to swallow all of their pride by picking a true conservative, so they settled for a moderate Republican.

You guys above are right, Rudy is a gun control puke.  One of those "new Republicans" who even fewer differences with the commie Demokrats than a "straight Republican."  I'll give Rudy his due for the way he handled himself since Sept. 11 but he's still an a-hole on Issue No. 1.

I think TIME missed the boat. Their choice should have been the American people. From GW to Rudy to the FDNY and NYPD to the firefighters I met in NYC helping with the clean up and the funerals to Americans all over donating blood, blankets, and money to the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines delivering justice. America as a nation pulled together. The American people deserve the kudos.

OK folks, what are we dealing with here?...Perhaps the most liberal major weekly publication in America.  Do you think there is any way Time Magazine was going to pick GWB for ANYTHING??  Their agenda is at stake and they'd rather pick the devil.

Were Clinton still relevant he would have been on the cover if all he'd done was take a leak.

They were obviously unable to spin bin Laden in a liberal-acceptable anti-Bush context or Osama's face would be there.

If our President were to walk on water Time magazine would ignore the feat and complain about the ripples.
