Went in to look for a 37mm Havoc, and a Double Star lower today...

Price marked on the rail-mounted Havoc was $389

Bushmaster lowers... $189

Spikes lowers....  $169

DPMS was $124 when I walked in... $179 when I walked out.

These guys were also selling knock-offs as legit optics at the last Houston gun show

The local black rifle store has been selling stripped lowers for $275 all along.

They also reliably price accessories for 200 to 300% above the "going rate".

I suspect that they now are selling used AR magazines for $75....

Yes, an ARF member got screwed over by them.

I have always been suspicious of their "FN contract uppers" and all the M16 selector parts they well.

I was playing with a Bushy carbine at Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday. I'm going to go get it tonight... it'd better not have some kind of "election surcharge" tacked onto it tonight.

I've driven by SOG a couple times but have never been in their shop. I bought two doublestar lowers from them at a show (4 or 5 months ago) for about $100 each,  maybe $110, I can't remember. They seemed nice and helpful, but most of their other stuff was pretty over-priced, IMO. I mostly bought the lowers from them to try and support the local black rifle store (aside from just needing the lowers).

After reading this thread though I am getting a negative vibe about these guys... Have a lot of people had negative dealings with them?

i dont know what prices you saw there, i just came back from there earlier and i purchased a stripped SOG lower for $125. doublestar was 105, rock river 159, stag 130, pof 225, and bushy 179. i admit bushy was a little high, but the prices seem lower than the gouging that i have read about here today.

I picked up some RRA lowers for $159

In 2004 i got 7 RRA lowers @$110 each.

I guess some prices go up, those that don't prepare pay more.

The guy that has the mustache that is always running the table at the gun show is a complete asshole.

i'm going to go back and see if i can get my LE/FF discount on the old price (matching Spike's website).  They said 10% off anything not a firearm or ammunition. I was ready for that instant-gratification until these assholes at the store and Spikes corporate

I'm not surprised.  SOG has a well-known reputation for dishonest business practices.  For years, they have knowingly sold corrosive ammo as "non-corrosive".  They don't care.

Why people support this behavior by continuing to do business with them is beyond me.

Quit yer bitchin'.

Those are the same prices we've had in California for the past 3 years. Demand drives the price.

if this is the same SOG thats on the south belt in houston; i went in there once and was immediately offended by their attitude and overall snobbish practices.

i have since left as many people around me know that they should not shop here.

when i went in there about 6 months ago or so; they had a stag 5.56 M4 flat top upper for around 700.

so let me get this straight, its ok to gouge after the elections but not after a hurricane!
