This document has been passed around for years (obviously, it's from 1993) when the anti's were pushing to get the AWB passed. It was verified as authentic and genuine by the NRA and other groups long ago. It's the real deal.
This is what the gun-grabbers had in store for us, but we managed to beat them off after the AWB was passed. THIS is why it's important for us to continue to be on the offensive and not stop for one second now that we've got Heller and other cases working for us. We HAVE to keep pushing while they're on the defensive and unorganized, we HAVE to keep getting our rights back one piece at a time. For those of you who are too fucking lazy and/or illiterate to wade through all of this, I'll have footnotes at the bottom summarizing what their plan was (and still is).
Summary: Part of the plan is to make owning a gun too expensive for most people to do, just like they did with machine guns in 1934. They want to REQUIRE you to own a safe and they want to tax you YEARLY for owning that gun safe. The total cost of their permit to own a gun, permit to own a safe, permit to own ammo, special permit to reload your own ammunition (and you're limited to having enough supplies to load 100 cartridges. Total.), special permit to own more than 1,000 rounds of ammo, etc. is going to cost you, at a minimum, $1,558 a year. That's the low end of what they want to charge you. They plan to eventually ramp it up to $3,473 a year just for the privilege of owning guns and ammunition. That's what you have to pay EVERY YEAR to own a longarm, a handgun, and some ammo. Oh yeah, and they get to inspect you for compliance whenever they want. And you have to pay a fee for the pleasure of being inspected. They're imposing a fee for visiting a gun range. The range does not get this money, the federal government does. They want you to pay $85-100 per person, per visit. By now you should see the obvious plan is to make it fucking impossible to own a gun and fire it. Random checkpoints to inspect your car for guns. Oh yeah, no CCW by the way. Reenactments, specifically Civil War, WWI, and WWII reenactments, are banned. Apparently reeenactors are engaged in an activity that serves no historical purpose and is actually a means of training an anti-government paramilitary organization. Military surplus is banned. No camo, no shelter halves, no canteens, no helmets, no combat boots, etc. You're not allowed to own ANYTHING related to the military unless you were in the military. Arfcommers who accuse everyone who owns or wears mil-surp of being "posers" rejoice. The ban of books, manuals, pdf's, etc. that involve survival, gunsmithing, explosives, or were ever published for military use. Kiss your gunsmithing books, Army Survival Guide, and anything by Ragnar Benson goodbye. Gun owners will be registered, fingerprinted, and photographed. The names, addresses, and photos of gun owners will be made PUBLIC. Just like those assholes who take lists of everyone in town with a CCW and publish them in the newspaper every year, except it's EVERYONE who owns a gun. Ban hunting on public land. Ban gatherings of more than four people with guns. No hunting trips with more than four people (sorry Fred, you gotta stay home.), no trips to the gun show with five or more buddies, and God help you if more than four members of your household own guns. Ban gun shows. Like you didn't see that one coming. Waiting period on rental guns at ranges. Yes, that's right. They don't just want to charge you a hundred bucks every time you go to the range, if you want to rent a gun you have to WAIT THREE FUCKING DAYS before you get to shoot it. Ban gun ranges in counties with a population over 200,000. Yeeeaaaah. So, that leaves us, what, five ranges per state? Ban all bullet types except FMJ and solid lead. Ban all calibers in use with any military since 1945. Which, you know, bans pretty much every caliber EVER used by a military. Ban all handguns. Forever. Eliminate C&R licenses and guns. Ban all parts kits. Ban all semi-auto guns. Special "arsenal" license to own more than five guns or 250 rounds of ammo. License must be renewed (at full price) annually. License will not be granted to anyone living in a county with a population over 200,000 (meaning if you live in a city or a large county, you can't own six guns or 251 rounds of ammo.). Geez. Just the summary is fucking huge. You see now why it's important that we retain the initiative and keep sticking it to these bastards? These fuckers are STILL pushing to get this shit enacted. We can't let them win. We HAVE to take our rights back! |
If they want my guns they can have them, Never liked them much to start with.
now where can i get my free gift card once i turn them in? |
Somehow, I don't think Heller and ~40 states with shall-issue CCW was in their plans.
I think Heller head shot most of their crap, but we can NEVER let our guard down.
NEVER. There was enough wiggle room in Heller to allow assorted nastiness. Obama can NOT be allowed into the White House. |
Holy shit.
And FWIW the Fudds would be perfectly fine with this. |
Yeah. But still--we are winning. |
No offense, but how's the gun climate in Cali? Some of us are winning, some of you guys are still very much behind enemy lines. There's still more steps to take. |
Well, except for the "ban hunting on public land" part. |
Incidentally, the following calibers would be banned if this plan were followed through:
.32ACP .380ACP 9mm Makarov 9x19mm .45ACP 7.63 Mauser 7.62 Tokarev .30-06 .308 .303 British 7.5 Swiss 7.62x54R 7.62x39mm 5.45x39mm .223 .300 Win Mag .338 Lapua .50 BMG .22lr 9x39mm .38 Special .38 Smith & Wesson And quite a few others. Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head in use with a military since 1945. And God help us if they decide to include calibers used by POLICE departments too. Then kiss .40 S&W, 10mm, .357 Sig, .45GAP, etc. goodbye too. Oh, and I forgot to include that they want to ban all NFA weapons too. |

The above quote is the single most horrifying thing I have read in recent memory. It illustrates their perception of normal, everyday people who happen to own a gun. You see, they don't fear the violent, inner-city gangsters and thugs. They aren't trying to make the cities safer by eliminating gang violence. They simply want to disarm people they disagree with, because they fear us. It is a gripping, consuming, pervasive fear. They feel like they can't really breathe knowing that if they really behaved like they wanted to (decadent, hedonistic, self-absorbed, rude, selfish) they might just piss off someone enough to want to kill them. And they don't want to make that easy. Tell me, what in all creation do they want to be able to do (as individuals) that requires ordinary people to be defenseless? What actions do they have in mind when they imagine an angry gun owner shooting them? I believe the reason they want us all disarmed is so that they can "safely" say and do things that would make a reasonable person want to shoot someone. I can't come up with any other explanation. |
Yes. You young-uns sometimes just need to listen to older folks. This was referred to as "Brady II" back in 1994-95. A few things they left off the list were bans on all sales of military surplus to civilians (they didn't want civilians to own fatigues, camo, ammo cans, etc.). |
I had to quit about 1/4 of the way in. I started seeing stars like when you stand up too quickly...or you head is about to explode. Reading that was what I would call a High Spittle Event. Ever vigilant! Yield not a single centimeter. Introduce 10 new people to shooting. Teach boys and girls gun safety. Open carry (if legal in your state) to fight the belief that man with gun can only be a criminal or the police. |
yea we should ban them |
After that nutjob went on his murder spree on the long-island railroad the anti's picked up a lot of momentum to register owners an ban firearms. That was some scary shit. It wasn't just about banning weapons but about changing the perception of the public about self-defense and the military.

"Yes, I'm denying you your rights." -L.A. Mayor Tom Bradley, questioned about constitutional rights at a "Save the Brady Bill" rally. Steve Comus Western Outdoor News, September 4, 1992 "For target shooting, that's okay. Get a license and go to the range. For defense of the home, that's why we have police departments." -James Brady, Parade Magazine, June 26, 1994 "The House passage of our bill is a victory for this country! Common sense wins out. I'm just so thrilled and excited. The sale of guns must stop. Halfway measures are not enough." -Sarah Brady, July 1, 1988 "They are looking only to protect gun owners' quote — and I stress that — rights, because I don't believe gun owners have rights. The Second Amendment has never been interpreted that way. -Sarah Brady, October 1997 "We must be able to arrest people before they commit crimes. By registering guns and knowing who has them we can do that... If they have guns they are pretty likely to commit a crime." -Vermont State Senator Mary Ann Carlson "We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society." -Hillary Clinton, 1993 "If you know of any guns in your house or in the houses of your uncles, cousins, friends or neighbors, I want you to promise you will never, ever go near them. I want you to promise you will never, ever play with anybody who goes near them, and I want you to promise you will never, ever pick up a gun with any idea of using it against another person." -First Lady Hillary Clinton, at Valley Cottage Elementary School, March 3, 2000 "When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans... And so a lot of people say there's too much personal freedom. When personal freedom's being abused, you have to move to limit it. That's what we did in the announcement I made last weekend on the public housing projects, about how we're going to have weapon sweeps and more things like that to try to make people safer in their communities." -President Bill Clinton, MTV's "Enough is Enough," April 19, 1994 "We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans." -President Bill Clinton, March 1, 1993, during a press conference in Piscataway , NJ. USA TODAY, March 11, 1993 "The purpose of government is to rein in the rights of the people" -President Bill Clinton, MTV interview, 1993 "You know the one thing that's wrong with this country? Everyone gets a chance to have their fair say." -President Bill Clinton, May 28, 1993 speech in the city hall courtyard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania "You can't say you love your country and hate your government." -President Bill Clinton, 1995, commenting on the Oklahoma City bombing "And we should — then every community in the country could then start doing major weapon sweeps and then destroying the weapons, not selling them." -President Bill Clinton "You don't need an Uzi to go deer hunting, and you don't need an AK-47 to shoot skeet. They are military weapons, not meant for a day in the country and certainly not meant for a night on the street." -President Bill Clinton, April 6, 1998 "If the personal freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution inhibit the government's ability to govern the people, we should look to limit those guarantees." -President Bill Clinton, August 12, 1993 "I feel very strongly about it [the Brady Bill]. I think — I also associate myself with the other remarks of the Attorney General. I think it's the beginning. It's not the end of the process by any means." -President Bill Clinton, on the Brady Bill, August 11, 1993 "Guns have a place in the theater of war, they have no place out on the streets." -California Gov. Gray Davis July 20, 1999 "You know I don't believe in people owning guns, only the police and military. And I'm going to do everything I can to disarm this state." - Michael Dukakis, then governor of Massachusetts, in conversation with Mike Yacino, MA Gun Owner's Action League, and Roy Innis, CORE, June 16, 1986 "If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them... "Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in," I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren't here." -U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, CBS-TV's "60 Minutes," February 5, 1995, speaking about her authorship of the 1994 "assault weapons" ban The American people must be willing to give up a degree of personal privacy in exchange for safety and security." -Louis Freeh, Director of the FBI, 1993 "There is no reason for anyone in this country, for anyone except a police officer or a military person, to buy, to own, to have, to use, a handgun. The only way to control handgun use in this country is to prohibit the guns. And the only way to do that is to change the Constitution." -Michael Gartner, president of NBC News, January, 1992 "We don't need more concealed weapons in our malls, in our movie theaters, and our streets. We need fewer concealed weapons in our society." -Vice President Al Gore on concealed weapons licences, Houston Chronicle, May 27, 1999 "These automatic, semiautomatic handguns and assault weapons, they really have no place in our society." -Al Gore, Larry King Live, September 17, 1999 "I think that we should ban so-called junk guns. I think we should ban assault weapons like the weapons used here [in Fort Worth], yes. I think that the kinds of weapons that have no legitimate use for hunting or the kind of weapon that a homeowner would use, I think they should be banned, yes, those kind of weapons." -Al Gore, Larry King Live, September 17, 1999, on the 1999 Fort Worth shooting. The "assault weapons" being referred to are semi-automatic handguns. The gun-violence problem is more than the problem of guns in the hands of bad people. Its also a problem of guns in the hands of good people." -Dennis Henigan, Gun control attorney, quoted in a New York articale by Peter J. Boyer. Houston Chronicle, May 24, 1999 "No, we're not looking at how to control criminals ... we're talking about banning the AK-47 and semi-automatic guns." -U.S. Senator Howard Metzenbaum, 1993 "I don't care about crime, I just want to get the guns." -U.S. Senator. Howard Metzenbaum, 1994 "With a 10,000% tax we could tax them out of existence." -U.S. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Washington Post, November 4, 1993 "I honestly think — and I am not an expert on the amendments — I think the only people in this nation who should be allowed to own guns are police officers. I don't care if you want to hunt, I don't care if you think it's your right. I say, 'Sorry. It is 1999, we have had enough as a nation. You are not allowed to own a gun and if you do own a gun, I think you should go to prison.'" -Rosie O'Donnell, April 21, 1999 "My bill ... establishes a 6-month grace period for the turning in of all handguns." -U.S. Representative Major Owens, Congressional Record, 11/10/93 "We have to start with a ban on the manufacturing and import of handguns. From there we register the guns which are currently owned, and follow that with additional bans and acquisitions of handguns and rifles with no sporting purpose." -U.S. Representative Owens, Democrat "Forget what our forefathers said." -Dominick Potifrone, ATF Special Agent (Retired) "On the Inside: The BATF", Discovery Channel, 2000 "Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. The prohibition of private firearms is the goal." -U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, December 1993 "Gun registration is not enough." -U.S.Attorney General Janet Reno on "Good morning America," December 10, 1993 "If it were up to me we'd ban them all" -U.S. Representative Mel Reynolds on CNN's Crossfire, December 9, 1993 "There may be other things that will happen later... It may not be the end... the bottom line is what we are seeking now is the Brady Bill." -U.S. Representative Charles Schumer, interviewed on CNN Crossfire. "I don't believe anybody has a right to own any kind of a firearm. I believe in order to obtain a permit to own a firearm, that person should undergo an exhaustive criminal background check. In addition, an applicant should give up his right to privacy and submit his medical records for review to see if the person has ever had a problem with alcohol, drugs or mental illness... The Constitution doesn't count!" -John Silber, former chancellor of Boston University and candidate for Governor of Massachusetts. Speech before the Quequechan Club of Fall River, MA. August 16, 1990 "Assault weapons... are a new topic. The weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons — anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun — can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons." -Josh Sugarmann, "Assault Weapons: Analysis, New Research and Legislation", March 1989 "There is nothing in the law to indicate the term 'sporting purposes' was intended to recognize every conceivable type of activity or competition which might employ a firearm." -ATF spokesperson, 1989, on the import ban Another rifle caliber, the 30.30 caliber, was responsible for penetrating three officers' armor and killing them in 1993, 1996, and 2002. This ammunition is also capable of puncturing light-armored vehicles, ballistic or armored glass, armored limousines, even a 600-pound safe with 600 pounds of safe armor plating. It is outrageous and unconscionable that such ammunition continues to be sold in the United States of America. Armor-piercing ammunition for rifles and assault weapons is virtually unregulated in the United States. A Federal license is not required to sell such ammunition unless firearms are sold as well. Anyone over the age of 18 may purchase this ammunition without a background check. There is no Federal minimum age of possession. Purchases may be made over the counter, by mail order, by fax, by Internet, and there is no Federal requirement that dealers retain sales records. --- Senator Edward Kennedy, New York (February 26, 2004, Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, Congressional Record, (Pp. S1634-5) "If someone is so fearful that, that they're going to start using their weapons to protect their rights, makes me very nervous that these people have these weapons at all!" ~ Rep. Henry Waxman, D-NY, 5/2001 MSNBC report on .50BMG rifles. You called it. |

It is funny that just a couple of weeks ago some deuchbag on this site posted that he was going to vote for obamination because everything we warned him about when Clinton was running never came to fruition.
I guess it was just because Clinton was such a good guy and we got it wrong. Not that we worked our asses off at defeating the Clinton beast at every turn while said deuchbag went obliviously through life. But we didn't stop all of the Clinton damage. After all, the oil crisis of today and 9-11 all were because of Clinton's stupid decisions. Can we say import ban? |
They can't redistribute wealth on the scale that they want to until the populace is disarmed. |
I 100% for-real feel sick to my stomach after reading some of that.
They ever want my guns, or want to make it that hard to keep them. Those fuckers can come for them! I'll make sure I aim well when they try to violate my natural rights.
I think they just have a perverse, irrational, all-consuming fear of guns. And they are elitist: they are so much smarter than us and want to "protect" us from ourselves. |
Oh, you think that's bad? They're still trying. Here, check out the latest version of the new AWB they've been pushing. I'll include a summary at the bottom of this one too.
Ok, some important notes: This AWB doesn't prevent semi-autos from having features (bayonet lugs, folding stocks, flash suppressors, etc.) like the old one did. There will be no such thing as a post-ban AR or AK. This ban prevents the manufacture of ANY so-called "assault weapon". It bans all the guns specifically listed from being produced for civilians PERIOD, no matter what features you remove from them. Yes, this means that even the California-legal AR-15's are totally banned too. It bans standard-capacity magazines, of course. It bans any gun that is based on the design of a banned gun or uses parts from a banned gun. It bans any rifle not specifically listed that is semi-auto and has any ONE of the following features: a pistol grip, folding stock, a forward grip, a threaded barrel, or barrel shroud. It bans any semi-auto shotgun a detachable magazine or holds more than five rounds in the integral tube magazine, has a pistol grip, or a folding stock. It bans any pistol that takes a magazine outside of the grip, has a barrel shroud, a threaded barrel, or a forward grip (which would be an AOW, but what the fuck do they know about NFA laws). That's right, no threaded barrels for any semi-auto guns ever. Hey, you saved up and got a silencer? Good for you, tough shit that you can't put it on any of your semi-auto guns. Parts kits are banned too. Any gun that is used by a police or federal agency or is a copy of one used by a military is banned too. So if any police department ever adopts your semi-auto rifle or shotgun, even if it isn't one of the one specifically banned and doesn't have any of the features that makes it verboten, then it's banned anyway. Which gives them a nifty means of banning just about everything by having some agency officially "adopt" it and now everyone who owns one is a criminal. Except for .22 rifles with an integral tube magazine, no semi-autos with integral magazines that hold more than ten rounds. While it DOES grandfather all the semi-auto guns in private hands prior to the ban, it makes it illegal to sell or transfer one without going through an FFL. Wanna sell your buddy your M1 Carbine? Sorry, gotta go through an FFL first. Oh, and it's illegal for your kid to possess an "assault weapon" or a magazine for one. Oh, and did I mention that there's no expiration date? Heller MIGHT keep such a ban from ever being enacted... or it might not. There's enough wiggle room for them to justify a lot of evil shit. Especially if they get one or more of our judges replaced. |

Heh yep remember the whole camels nose under the tent now let me show you the whole camel Sarah Brady speech
yeah they were some smug fucks back then |
+1 It's very timely given the potential to move left or right in this election. The people who were vigorously pushing that agenda are still out there. |
The really scary part is if any of those items were to pass into law, there would be plenty of people on here willing to comply. The law is the law. Vote if you don't like them. Until then, follow the law.
Or, at least until they could no longer get .45acp or 30-06 ammo for their deer rifle, no longer buy a new turkey gun, no longer handload, or buy the parts to "bubba" that 1944 Mauser they picked up at an now-closed gun show. While Heller gave us a victory, the anti-gun groups will continue to push for "reasonable restrictions" that will infringe on our rights. James |
Some of Arfcom was in kindergarten when Brady was rammed down our throats.
Never forget! They have an agenda and they will not stop. Heller will give them pause but the plan is an end-around to tax, restrict and vilify our "gun culture". Micro stamping, arsenal licenses, ammo and magazine restrictions, etc. None of this is reasonable! As of today we have two potato head "white supremacists" in the pokey accused of gunning for Obongo. If you don't think the anti's are not going to make hay out of their "sniper rifles" then you're already beyond hope. Say goodbye to your optics and bolt action rifles. They have been very quiet about guns lately. Too quiet. Obongo is the biggest threat to our rights that there has ever been. If that bastard wins we are going to see a blizzard of federal legislation backed by presidential mandate and it ain't going to be pretty. The time to act is now. How about we just skip the "cold dead hands" bravado for now and do something to ensure we never find ourselves in that situation. Vote. Join the NRA or another association of your choice. And for the love of god swallow your third party pride and cast a vote that counts for McCain. |
Thank you for the huge pile of quotes for the ASUsax Quote Database. Now I will go be completely unproductive filing those for the next hour. |
An important point for everyone here to remember: They had a plan, and they didn't ask for everything at once.
And most of all they certainly scream and stamp their feet and refuse to vote because the Democrat party or certain candidates refused to ban all guns RIGHT NOW! In our political system, incrementalism is the way to get things done. |
Banning high speed airguns and paint guns "which can be converted into REAL guns?"
WTF! |
The first import ban was put into place by an EO signed by Bush 41 in 1989. Don't forget, we have to watch them too. |
There's a LOT more where those came from, including good quotes from good people, not just evil quotes from douchebags. |
Oh, I know. I have a Spreadsheet, Filterable by Person, Genre, etc. That's just a good source. The problem is that I have to go through and make sure I dont' double-enter stuff. |
Until their "sniper rifles" were banned..........then you would hear howls of indignation
No, I meant that I have a lot more quotes where I got those from. A whole file full. |
Sadly, they will never give up. None of us will live to see the day whe we can "relax" knowing that our rights and way of life are safe from these attacks. We have to always be alert to this kind of thing. |
This is exactly the reason. I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever. |
