So does that fuel truck in the last pic have to follow them around?
LOL Not sure... But it probably couldn't hurt. From my understanding they do ok MPG for a big diesel. |
Those are too cool! thanks for the pics!
Is it just me or is the Buffalo the most badass looking one? |
Thanks for sharing, and thanks for taking care of our GIs with quality workmanship.
That buffalo looks tall can it get under a 13'6" clearance? |
sweet truck..where at in SC?
that thing will be awesome during the zombie uprising |
There's a big hyudraulic boom on the Buffalo, but I can't make out what's on the end of it.
What's on the end of it? |
That's sweet. Nice Pics... cept for the ugly mug...
Thanks for supporting the troops! Semper Fi! |
4 to 5 MPG in actual use I guess. YMMV |

It's a scoop/fork for clearing IEDs on the side of the road. Correct me if I'm wrong |
They call it "the Fork." |
They didn't have any problems driving it down hwy74 in. Talk about getting some looks at the stop light |
damn how much wallpaper did you use on it |

We're in NC but the company who finishes these out ( who we're contracted to) is Force Protection. You can Check them out at www.forceprotection.net. They're in Charleston. |

thats cool i asked bc i saw you were in NC and that had a SC flag on it and i live over in Kings Mtn NC near the state line but work in Charlotte |
You are correct sir. It is a fork used in moving/flipping suspicious looking stuff that could be IED's. And some of you might also recognize that the big guy was in the Transformers movie as the Decepticon Bone Crusher. |
One of those 4x4's would fit you great Ed. |
LOL it has a tie down? I dont think a hurricane or a tornado could pick that thing up...
Yeah, he cleaned his clock rather quickly.. If you're in Kings Mountain then you're right there at our second shop. The main ones in Shelby. |
Those are for strapping/chaining them in on the planes when they get flown out. edited for spelling... |

Yeah, that's the South African edition. Ours is much tougher. They definitely aren't mine proof by any means but they do give our guys and girls some better protection. |

Buffalo Serial #'s 12, 13, 18 and 19 used to be my babies in Afghanistan. I was playing with MRAP's before some pencil pusher even came up with the idea of calling the MRAP's.
I know them inside, out, back and forth. 12 was built on the early style chassis, 18 and 19 on the later, and 13 was a bastard child of the two plus some other stuff that I still curse FPI about. The new style front suspensions and axles they have now are a direct result of the number of them we broke and the reports I sent foward about it. |
. . . which is scheduled for November . . . |
Really? Cool. well thank you for your service sir. Yeah we always called them by there names. And thank you for sending reports, people like you make them better. |
