you don't want a lot of symptoms to begin with. You want to infect as many as possible by making it unnoticed then strike while the iron's hot and start giving the virus stuff like fatigue in preparation for the big show like heart failure or something deadly.

I picked things that didnt give outward symptoms.

Other than death that is.

Is was funny, started in china very very slowly built up to lots and lots of infected, then BANG a million dead and everything being shut down, martial law, burning bodies, etc. But it was already in india, russia, east europe, north africa, brazil.

I accidently closed the tab with china approx 100 million in pop. Cuba under 20 thousand.

Basically anyone east of the rhine in eurasia was dead.

My first time strategy was to build up lots of immunities first and all the transmissions. Then I chose a tier 2 symptom that increased risk of death and infectivity.

It worked pretty well, but the US, Canada, South America, and Japan all closed their borders, shipping, and air travel FAST. Those places were spared.

I managed to kill everyone except in Australia, Greenland, and Madagascar with Obamanation.

The key is to keep the disease low profile and highly communicable early. Save the deadly symptoms until after you've gotten it everywhere.

Black Rifle Disease has infected the Middle East. It started out as a bioweapon, so I got some nice traits.

Day 5, 85 infected, no deaths yet. Airborne, sweating, fever, coughing, sneezing, drug I, heat I, rodent, durable, virus.

ETA: Day 7, upgraded to heat II and moisture I, 1,452 infected.

Mu-wa-ha!

ETA 2: Holy shit, it just jumped almost 12,000 on day 8!

Managed to get all hospitals closed, days to virus completion, infinity.

Everything is infected in the world except madagascar, they closed their one point of entry and the only healthy population in the world exists there.

Soon my herpagonasyphilaids virus will mutate and people will die left and right now that I can let my points gather.

Also laughing pretty hard at one little ship icon that is going around the world trying to find a point of entry but cannot because all ports are closed.

North and South America (minus Cuba, which is infected), Madagascar, Japan, and Indonesia are the only uninfected regions. They shut down their borders, air ports, and sea ports FAST.

Current death toll: 1,783,382, 126.

Russia is the worst off, with a total of 462 uninfected people.

Next time I'll keep the disease more subtle so as to get it into those harder-to-reach regions of the world.

ETA: 20 uninfected in Russia, 25 in New Zealand. Everywhere else has at least 1,000 uninfected.

Will waterborne help the virus jump to Madagascar or Mexico or Japan from the nearest landmasses?

If you start off with a virus, you get a ton more evolution points. Spread as nothing but fever, but with all infection vectors. You can infect the most countries before anybody notices. By that time, you should have enough evolution points to buy hemhorraging, kidney failure, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. That'll kill everybody right quick.
