This is my version of bacon burger dogs; just thought I would snap a few pix for all of Arfcom to enjoy.

I didn't do a full-on dinner pic presentation because I was too hungry to set it all up.

Enjoy!! This heart attack is on me!

To start with, you need the basic ingredients...just what the name implies: bacon, hamburger, and weiners.

start with the hamburger, use about the size of a hamburger patty; flatten it out to the length of the weiner, then make it long enough to be able to roll the weiner up in it.

finished rolling it up.

next, take the bacon and start on one end and just wrap it around.  go in a spiral sort of fashion so that it covers evenly.  use toothpicks to hold the ends. just push it through to both sides, and it holds the bacon on great.

just me and the wife tonight, so I prepared 4 dogs.

onto the grill they go.

gettin happy.

dont get too close to the business area, this is dangerous!

since there is so much grease from these things, i found it helpful to turn the right side burner completely off to eliminate flare ups.  they look cool, but burn the shit out of your bacon.

finished product.  You should cut them all in half for a few minutes at the end of grilling. just to make sure they get cooked thoroughly in the middles.  i got to the table and some were not quite done, so back to the grill they went.  turned out great though.

I should have done a dinner pic, we had corn on the cob, salad, baked potatoes, and the bacon burger dogs. next time with a dinner pic!

We used to have this place called Yankee Burger that made these fuggin HUGE burgers, and they would split two hot dogs and lay them flat on top of the burger. They also had Sink the Bizmarck on the jukebox...

Best damn burger I have ever had. I miss them

That looks delicious.

Instead of humburger  use ground bacon and you do need a layer of cheese for the ultimate WIN!
IBPK (In Before PhotoKirk)

ETA: Is there ANY food bacon can't improve?  Seriously bacon needs to be it's own food group!

Bacon-wrapped hot dogs thrown in the deep fryer are pretty awesome, I've done it.  Probably knocks a few days off of your life after eating them, but you only get one go around, might as well enjoy it.

+1. The concept is pure genius. But I would use a different dog. Finding a way to work in some cheese would also be brilliant. Maybe between the burger and the dog?
