Does anyone know the history of the company?

I am watching a film on UNCTV, called "Valentia: Mexican-Americans In World War II." (Linky)
The Vets stated that they were called the "Bushmasters". The Company Symbol they used looked EXACTLY like the bushmaster snake on BM's lowers.

Does anyone know anything on this?

I have never seen any kind of history on the firearm comapny.
And yes the Snake is a bushmaster.

*Maybe* the company was founded by Vets, who were Mexican?

Now I am just really curious if and what kind of connection there is.

it had the founding date listed! more info than anyone else posted!

Found this "Sendra was a contractor for the military supplying M-16 parts in the 1960's. In the 1970’s "

Bushmaster was known as "Quality Parts Inc" for the longest time, and AFAIK, has never been affiliated with Sendra.

They converted Sendra lowers into M16s.

I'd be very interested in which 50 countries use BM for their military.

I remember in the late 70s being told that the "woods fuzz" (game wardens) were being issued "Bushmasters in .223 Remington." At the time, I had no idea what that meant,

Bushmaster's early designs, the Bushmaster ARM Pistol and Bushmaster Assault Rifle were products of Mack Gwinn of Gwinn Firearms. I'm not sure how Gwinn became Bushmaster Firearms/Quality Parts, but they used to manufacture parts for many guns, with AR15s and Uzis being most popular. They also manufactured rifles on Essential Arms and Eagle Arms lowers before they manufactured their own AR lowers, and performed lots of full-auto conversions in '86 during the month prior to the ban.
