Before you spend all that money, spend $25 at [url]www.glockmeister.com[/url] and buy a 3.5 lb. connector (marked "-"). It takes a couple of pounds off the trigger and generally cleans up the trigger pull. Makes a BIG difference, though it will feel a bit strange at first.

My walther shoots better than almost anything else i have shot.
I own a .40sw and absolutly love it. I still carry my glock30 just because it fits me better for ccw. But my preference would be the p99 in a fire fight. Shoot the p99 then try out a sig or an hk in a comparable caliber. No Comparison to comfort and accuracy. jmho mike |

Glocks are easy to shoot bad, but there also easy to shoot pretty good. ya know what i mean?

All time favorite accurate 9mm Pistols:
#3 = Sig 226 #2 = Browning High Power #1 = HK P7M13 The M13 is a bit pricey, but the most accurate 9mm Pistol I have ever owned (I have/had G17, G17, Berretta Elite, HK's, Sig 226). Best of luck! |

I have one in one of my G19s. It's a factory part, and comes in the old G17L, the G24, and the "Practical/Tactical" G34 and G35.
You need the $7 Glock Tool (a punch) to install it, and it takes about 60 seconds to install the first time. If you don't like it, your experience shaves 15 seconds off the time to reinstall the old connector. Try it. -Troy |

I have both the P99 and the Glock. I like both. The great thing about the P99 is that I do not have to get a grip reduction.

Maybe my all time favorite is the old Euro HK P7 with mag release at bottom of grip. Might go back to that some day. The HK USP is sweet too. So much candy and only two hands! |

H&K USP Tactical - match trigger, adjustable trigger stop, extended, threaded barrel w/O-ring for positive slide lock up. Accurate, eats anyhing (in .45, that is) and is well made.

But the one thing that bothers me more about the Glocks than anything else is no second shoot capability, I just can't get past that. Also the grip doesn't feel quite right in my hand. However, with the Sig P228 it fits perfectly in my hand and for a full size pistol it's shape and balance is near perfect. I also like that it has a good D/A first pull, great S/A pull, metal frame and no safety to worry about. The only down side is that it has a "funny" reset for follow up shots. The only pistol that came close to replacing my Sig was the CZ75 in .40cal, it had a slightly better trigger and was a tad thinner. It also had a more "swept back" type grip which gave a better natural point of aim. Someday I might buy a CZ75, but I will never give up my Sig P228[:)]. Walther P99 is the sleeper gun of the new millenia. 16rd mags + 1 in throat = 17 smiles. Glocks dream every night that they look this good. Very accurate and feels like pretty girls butt in my hand. |

I just dumped a P99 it was intriging but it jamed, just like the ppk I once owned. Groups I shot were not impressive, only one size big. Try and find Hi caps. I'll keep my Glocks, Sigs and 1911s . A fool and his Glocks soon part.

I just handled a Walther P22 (mini-P99 in .22 LR) today. It's sweet! The only flaw is that it has a magazine "safety". [rolleyes]

Dead reliablity. Accuracy. But with better trigger (DA/SA) If your looking for one hole accuracy and butter smooth SA/DA out of the box, check out a 6" 586(blue)686(stainless) S&W 357. Plenty of excellent used ones out there. More versatile than any auto if you handload. If six 357's wont solve your problem........ |
