I was driving out for lunch, and heard him talking about the Jets DB and his "machine gun." Rome admitted he wasn't a gun guy, was talking out his a$$, and did say a bunch of times he wasn't against the second amendment. Still, he was ALL OVER the fact that "the bushmaster hs been outlawed since 1990" and "if this is what he rolls with, what does dude hve under his bed at home?"

Rome is mildly entertaining when it comes to sports commentary, but he knows zilch about guns. Unlike intelligent people, he doesn't know when to shut up about things he doesn't know about.

I know, I should be pissed but it was funny as hell. He kept calling it a Beastmaster.

Someone e-mailed him with a Charlton Heston comment and he said something like "yeah, you know my man Chuck is rollin through town sportin a Beastmaster in his trunk."

If Rome has any balls he'll invite Anderson to call in to his show and talk about the charge. Of course, Anderson's lawyer will advise him not to say a word. And Anderson will take the advice. But it could be a conversation worth listening to!

His team fined him a weeks pay, ouch. In the NFL, that is 1/16th of your salary.

Luckily, I don't have to worry about searches at my place of work, because I have been carrying since 9/11.

Does anyone ever remember when Everett kicked Rome's butt on ESPN. He beat him like a red headed step child. Maybe that sissy Rome should get a gun to protect his weak butt! He couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper sack!

They are making this guy go to counseling for carrying a gun? That is crazy! If we would spend our time worrying about "REAL CRIME", maybe we wouldn't be a screwed up nation that we are!
