First he thinks ALL civilians should be limited to 5 rounds per weapon.... no matter what the weapon is. Second - he really doesn't think any civilian should be able to own assault weapons... and if they are allowed, they should also be capped to 5 rounds. This guy is NO fan of the 2nd Amendment... and SURELY does not understand or believe in it. www.nrawinningteam.com/bios01/jackson.html The enemy is within. It has been confirmed that Joaquin Jackson is indeed still on the Board of Directors of the NRA. The board members are voted in. Need a letter writing campaign to the NRA about this. We need to ensure he is removed from the board if possible.... and at the very least contact the Secretary's office and let them know (POLITELY) about our disdain for his leadership position, when he surely does not represent us, or the 2nd amendment to the Constitution. Here we go - just like Zumbo - it’s all about hunting. It's clear from the context of that last clip that this man thinks that unless you're military or LE, guns and the Second Amendment are exclusively about hunting.

He should definitely do the above to show he is a true believer. He should be fired on the spot! Where is the outrage? ETA: I didn't know civilians could buy new assault weapons? What about the '86 ban? This guy need some education. |

Thanks for updating the Links to show the actual TV clip with his direct statements. What The HELL??? This is an N.R.A. Board Member saying this???? He does have the right to express his personal opinions (1st amendment) but this is the guy who is supposed to be defending me and my gun rights against the Gun Grabbers? When our weak congress debates the important issue of gun control, I'm sure the Brady Bunch will try to get this clip played before Senator "Bends With The Wind" to show that Law Enforcement and NRA support limiting civilians to only 5 rounds. I'm on the job to get a clear explanation from N.R.A. and I think everyone who is an NRA member should do the same! BIGGER_HAMMER

Lighten up. I feel your anger - but I dont know about all that. What I DO know is that he does NOT agree with the 2nd amendment in the intent it was written by the "forefathers" that he mentioned.... and therefore should NOT be a board of directors member of the NRA. At least, not if they want to continue receiving my membership and money. |

I would like to see any future weapon bans apply to law enforcement agencies as well, then we'll see how many people like him still support further infringements upon the RKBA.
I fully support law enforcement, but individuals like Jackson are not our friends. |

Don't vote for him next time. Of course, voting for someone else is hard to do if you're busy boycotting the NRA, Those of you demanding he be removed - have you even read the NRA bylaws, to see how this is done? Take action - it is OUR organization, WE vote the board members in. I'll never understand some of the logic here. |
