I leave today for Army basic training, so I obviously won't be posting or reading topics for the next few months. I don't know if anyone here even knows who I am, but I figure I'd say goodbye anyways.
They say Arfcom is like crack, and I guess now I'll find out if the withdrawl symptoms are similar as well. Seeya! |
See you in a few months!! Thanks for your service in advance!
ETA: I'm glad this wasn't one of those "Goodbye Arfcom...you all suck" posts |
Don't worry, by the time you're done basic there won't be any Areas of Operation outside CONUS.
How do you know what crack withdrawl is like???? It will be over before you know it. |
Don't volunteer.
Stay in the back of the formations. Don't bring attention to yourself. Do exactly as you're told. Good luck. |
For a second there, I thought this was going to be another attention whore, taking my ball and going home post.
I'm glad to see it's not. Enjoy yourself, and be sure to qualify expert on your rifle or we will all make fun of you. |
Yep. Good luck and thank you. |
Thank you for serving, OBird!
I hope that you'll come out to an ARFCOM shoot or event when you return as well. Best of luck, and don't forget to CY6! I'm sure that a few of us MN ARFCommers will buy you a few brews upon your return! |
and don't ever let the DIs remember your name. Remain a roster number for the whole time. DI: "303! get your ugly face over here!" |
Welcome aboard. I'll probably meet you in some shithole someday!
I thought this was going to be another "I hate Arfcom" threads.
Good Luck, OBird! Av. |
Good Luck!
Get a good night of sleep before you go, it will be the the last one for a little while. |
We may not know your name, but we know who you are. You are one of our heroes who protect us from our enemies. The one who risks his life for us. The one who makes us proud to be Americans. I am not going to wish you good luck as I don't want you to depend on luck to keep you safe, I want it to be your training, skill and smarts that brings you back to your loved ones. Sir I salute you.
