Minnesota: Had to walk to school for 5 miles through 4 feet of snow, uphill both ways, carrying a cello. But I never complained because my kid brother played the piano.
Texas: I had to walk to school for 5 miles of cactus and rattlesnakes barefoot, uphill both ways, carrying a cello. But I never complained because my kid brother played the piano. |

With a thread title like this you better be talking about a football game because there is no other reason to compare the Minnesota to The Lone Star State!!!
Remember the Alamo and God Bless Texas! |
Cactus and hills? Where the hell in Texas can you find both Cactus and hills at the same time?
Hill Country, duh. Still working on your Texas citizenship, I see. |
No I'm 6th generation, I've just never seen cacti in hill country, and admittedly I rarely leave north Texas. |
You should go down there, check it out. Beautiful country. |

A war of Minnesota versus Texas would be like the winter war of Finland versus Russia.
One would have numerical superiority, the other would have brains. I think the quote should be somthing like this...
When walking to school and back it is ALWAYS uphill both ways! Dammit, I buy you guys books, I send you to school and all you do is eat the teacher and spend your lunch money on dope! |
Chuck Norris lives in Texas.
So Minnesota would just get roundhoused right off the map. |
AND we killed Kennedy |
Guess we are gunna have to start throwing snow balls at you fuggers again.
Yah, well, at least in MN, we could go fishin after school.
<-- Transplanted NYer...and these folk out here are fishin fools! |
Yeah, no fish or water in Texas. |
But there's plenty of Mexicans. |
What are you saying? Our big game selection is better? |
Since when did Minnesota get numerical superiority over Texas? |
Case'N'Point. |
Exactly, Texas already wins on both points there. |

Let's see, 800 miles of coastline, thousands of miles of rivers, hundreds of lake and we can't find fishing? In Texas, we can fish in the dead middle of winter in shorts, without building a shack on the lake and digging a hole through three feet of ice to catch fish that couldn't break a 4 pound test line. Gee, almost makes me wish I lived in MN. |
Uh, I'll say it slow: Texas.....wins.....with.....both.....numbers.....and......brains. |
Tell that to someone livin in El Paso or Dallas...how close are they to a major fish area? Here, you can't wander 10 miles in any direction from ANYWHERE without finding a spot to fish from |
Yawn, this is just too easy. When the dastardly Texans invade we'll just feed then some lutefisk and they won't be able to get back home soon enough.
Actually, why does it have to be Texas? If it came to it, there are probably about 48 other states I'd probably prefer to go up against. Still, after one winter most of the Texans would probably go home, and after a school year in which their kids actually learned something, the remaining ones would probably realize that barbeque might, just might, not be the most important thing in life. |
Um Dallas is surrounded by lakes you know. There's also creeks all over the damned place, though you'd be lucky to catch anything over 5 or 6 pounds. |
BLASPHEMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Texas
Seriously, what is it about that state? Are you all proud because of your immigrant situation? Proud to live in a blistering (heat-wise) state? Good ol G-Dub's dipshit family reign from there or what? Not to mean as a flame whatsoever, but the insufferable bragging that comes from that state is often tiresome and rather boring, not to say repetitive. The Cowboys blow, Americas team my ass. STFU about Texas already |
Oohhhhhhhhhh Jealous much? |
Dallas? You aren't from TX are you? |

I'd like to add;
We dont' shovel heat. If you aren't a yankee weakling, you can take it. |

A hour east of Dallas is one of the best trophy bass lakes in the world....Lake Fork. There are ten lakes in the DFW area. Oh yea and the crappie are up shallow biting jigs pretty good. |
Yep, that does put one more in favor of Minnesota. |
leakyteats, Not in the least. We here in Montana KNOW this is the best place to live. We just downplay it so assholes from other states won't move here. We're fine at just under a million in population. Thankyouverymuch. Please, stay down there and keep the illegals. Haven't seen one up here yet |
Pic. Ya know I love ya. But...
Why is a guy from PA starting a pissing contest between TX and MN. You thinking of moving? I grew up in PA. TX is home, forever and always. Why couldn't you start a rassling match between two sort-of equivalent states. Like TX and Nirvanna. Or MN and NJ. DanM |
At least we're not ashamed to put what state we're from on our profile! |
How exactly are MN and NJ similar? |
Damn, was hoping you were the one that made the crack about reading comprehension. |

El Paso, you are correct. Dallas on the other hand...... Major lakes within 10 miles of the IH 635 loop around Dallas: Grapevine Lake-7,000 acres 8 miles from the loop. Lake Lewisville-23,000 acres 10 miles from the loop. White Rock Lake-1000 acres inside the loop. Mountain Creek-2,700 acres 1 mile from the loop. Joe Pool Lake-7,400 acres 2 miles from the loop. Lake Ray Hubbard-23,000 acres 5 miles from the loop. Lavon Lake-21,400 acres 10 miles from the loop. I can see where someone from Dallas has no place to fish. |

Cold weather keeps out the riff raff.
Not many people can claim to working outside in a 140 degree shift of temperature during the year. You guys have waaaaaay better bass fishing tho and smaller bodied big antlered deer. I will give you that. Montana - You guys have all of the rich Californians buying up everything in sight and the wackos that cant figure out how to disappear into Alaska, so they hole up in Montana. The bass fishing is the clincher.hit |

At least we don't have an illegal pandemic though |
