I bought this yesterday at Dallas' Big Town gunshow from Dallas Reloading. I bought a 1Krd. case from them
and inspected every single case, with these mixed up in with them.

The casings in the bulk were a mix of .223 Lake City, REM and WIN

I was also shorted 53 rounds, I counted them also. So in total they shorted me 80 rounds total, because I cant shoot
the faulty bullets.

I buy from them not expecting this. Everyone buying from them please take a few minutes to check out each bullet before it
goes into your mags for shooting, it could save your life.

These cases have major dents and the necks were torn and holes also exposed.

You need to contact them and post the reply back here. This could save someones life.
Hell it just might save the sales persons life if they sell to the wrong customer also. That is unacceptable!

Oh man... this is a BAD site to have your name shit on if you are in the .223 ammo business.

could the dents be from tossing them around in a jumbled bag? they are not packed like commercial ammo right? they are loose in a bag?

10-12 years used to buy Hornady and black hills "seconds" at a local shop most looked like that, never had any problems just lube dents , but they do not dosell them anymore
but if they were not straight I would toss um
the hole on the other hand is not acceptable nor is shorting you ammo

I've been buying from them for years and I've never seen this.
I've bought 15K rounds from them over the past 3 months. I run them full auto through my M16 and
I've never had so much as a mis-feed.

As far as being 53 rounds short, I would guess that they weigh them rather than count them.
I've had some overage and some shortages, but not enough either way for me to be concerned.

ETA: I've never received brass from the that looks like that.

That is totally unacceptable.

You don't get dents like that from being jumbled around in a bag.

I quit buying gun show reloads after a bad experience over 10 years ago or so. The ONLY reloads I'd buy is Black Hills.

The reloader I buy from would NEVER make crap like this. His stuff makes the majors look like amateurs. All are hand inspected after his run to include primer depth and any problem rounds are culled. Maybe thats why, after 10 years, I have never found a bad round.

I NEVER buy reloads either. I make my OWN!

It's a lot cheaper than buying quality factory fodder and it opens a whole new aspect of the shooting sports for you to explore. Handloading can be very addicting.

And I would never trust someone else's loads in my rifle... It's strictly factory or my own personal stuff in my guns. At least if my rifle blows up I know who to blame...

those are the worse freakin' reloads I've ever seen! The scrunched necks are a real problem. Oil dents aren't all that dangerous unless it exposes a hole in the case like you pointed out. Good gawd!

Wolf costs $119 from Sportsman's Guide per 1K (and a coupon can take care of most of the delivery cost). Or you can buy it at the gunshow. And its brand new ammo. I've never, in over 10K of Wolf 5.56mm, seen one that looks like that.

But some folks would rather buy some guy's reloads.

The bullet seating depth is pretty inconsistent too, when you look at the hi-res photo.

I've thought about buying some hollow points from them for shooting at the local range that bans FMJ. Maybe I'll just go to a different range.

Uh - wait a sec. If they do ship by weight. And you are missing 53 rounds. That means you might have 50 or so hot rounds mixed in.

This was not a holywood production here,
A few pics and drop some text on there only takes a few seconds - I stopped by E's last night where they had taken the pics and there was the ammo and all sitting on the counter - we warned Rogue about that ammo before he made the purchase at the gun show saturday, so he checked it out, ----Rougue inspected ALL the rounds(as he usually does on all ammo purchases).....what a PITA!!

ps: I think it would be fishy if he waited a year before posting the results....this is exactly what technology and internet are great for - you can instantly take a picture and deliver it to many people

Also, please show me in that hi-res photo how you think that's photoshopped. E witnessed him take the hi-res photo and post it immediately..

And I see you also fail to quote the posts of those who've had issues with the ammo. (i.e. mine & E's in this thread)

When they were coming back from the show on Saturday, Rogue opened the box of ammo to inspect it (they used to sell it in ammo cans, now they appear to have cut costs and put it in boxes.). Anyway, they noticed lots of the ammo (not pictured) had small/minor dents in it. Then he inspected it further, and you can see, its pretty bad.

And one more thing-- if you are selling it by weight, sell it by WEIGHT, not by count. Something fishy about that.
