gonzo You have obviously taken the time to review the documents and read my posts because you seem to have a good grasp on what went down. As a fellow gun owner I thank you for your support. |
I was advised. My lawyers know not to warn me.If anything I'm the one warning them never to overstep their bounds. |

What a loon. Even the people you PAY to be on your side are in danger of you. I WISH the judge could read this thread. I really do. The jury too. What a loon. I may call Florida CCW permitting authority myself and alert them to this thread. This is their contact info.... At the time mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s I had a successful business with six employees. I was under pressure from family and friends to place her in nursing home. At the risk of sounding like “a self righteous” ass, I choose to shut my business down and take care of mom full time. It was only after mom died in my arms, and while still classified officially a “Sexual Perpetrator”, that I made it my mission to make them pay for what they did. If I’ve painted a poor picture of myself it’s probably because I’ve articulated myself poorly in my posts, and I’m sorry. My mother was my God; I loved her very much and gave her the best care one can imagine. The court transcript attests to this through character witnesses. I miss her very much. |

I thought I fried the big fish without letting the little one go, no? |
OK, I've read all 15 pages.
You were practicing your rights in a consistent and lawful manner. At the same time you are a complete fool, you should have invested in a nice galco paddle holster and left the thing in the car. Not every battle needs to be fought. You should have listened to your lawyers and the little voice in the back of your head that told you you were going to rock the boat. A smart man uses discretion and runs well under the radar and is still a potent force. Even Kung Fu took shit before kicking ass because it was smarter at the time. That said, I'm sorry for the suffering of you and your family. I hope that the nurses, administrators, and thier lawyers get thier due. SoS So what are you going to do with the money?....Maybe you'll listen to your financial advisor better than you did your attorneys. |
That’s why they do exactly what I tell them.
I don’t know about the jurors but Judge Roche can be reached here: www.ninja9.org/

Well, since I have your permission to contact Florida CCW, thanx for removing any doubt from my mind. Being a SLED certified concealed carry instructor, with teh ability to refuse to certify my trainees, I imagine they'll take me seriously. We'll see. Let me know how it turns out. |
Like I said, I’ll loose the hat, sunglasses, sandals, nose rings (don’t have any) and follow all other social common courtesies that shows the court my respect. I feel I’ve compromised enough of my gun rights already. The holster stays unless otherwise directed by the judge. |
Being that I'm a law abiding citizen and well respected in my community I look forward to seeing you carry out your threats. I am saddened though to see a fellow gun owner use the threat trying to fuck with another’s ccw. As if we didn't have enough enemies. Good luck. |
YOu described yourself as "being compelled to go postal" and as "warning your lawyers" - people ON YOUR SIDE. Me contacting Florida CCW is done to prevent a BIGGER black eye for CCW - you as a permittee committing a felony. Its called "self-policing" and its what responsible members of ANY group do. You sound like a loose cannon, and I want to distance myself from you. I want to protect other CCW's from you. As a CCW instructor, i have a fiduciary duty. Sorry, pal. |
No problem. |
You've just lost a hell of alot of respect. You should be ashamed of yourself. |
Leave him alone garandman. He has done nothing wrong, except maybe verbalizing some things about a bad situation he should not have. Surely you are not going to be throwing the first stone in that regard.
Nothing of the sort. He's forced my hand. I take no pleasure in it. |
So him describing himself IN FORNT OF A JURY as on the edge of "going postal" and "warning his OWN lawyers" doesn't make you wonder about his atability. In fairness and in wanting to do the right thing, I'll start a new thread. |

Dracster, It’s really me, in so far that I am Lawrence Destefano. I’m sorry I took so long to respond. Your question is important in that these nurses and executives who perpetrated these malicious acts are still practicing and working out there and that affects all of us. I will be posting links from the trial record which shows the great lengths I went too in filing complaints with the appropriate authorities. The record will show I exhausted all avenues in just wanting to right a wrong and that my intention was never to file suit. The record will also show how government and powerful corporations rub shoulders and cover for each other. I know I sound like a ranting conspiracy nut and believe me, if you had told me six years ago I would be writing shit like this I would’ve told you to lock my ass up in a padded cell and throw away the key. I will answer your question in detail with the name and license number of all individuals involved, along with their defamatory libe,l and followed up by their perjurious testimony but only after I have the linked evidence. I don’t want the BS flags going up. |

Kinda makes your head spin. Good thing I never wear my holster on an airplane. Oh, the humanity.
ah.. res ipsa loquitor... |

Then yes, the thread in its entirety is. Especially everything I have represented. |

I'm not reading 15 pages of "stuff".
From what I gather, some trouble arose because you didn't want to take off an empty holster in court. I think that is being unreasonable. I don't really care to hear the whole story, either. You are in a court house. You are not permitted to bring a weapon in with you. If you are willing to submit to that, then the holster should just stay with the weapon. If it is a special holster, and it would be damaged or something just from taking it off, it probably is just more of a PITA than special. It is just a piece of leather. Someone being scared of a piece of leather is no more unreasonable than you refusing to take off a piece of leather. Having said that, I wish you luck. |
What ever happened about standing up for people regardless of the situation? disgusting |
Just got through all 16 pages. Damn my eyes hurt. FBI, congrats on your victory, and sorry about your loss. I think you did the right thing. Everyone opposed, get back on the cattle car.
Why are there two links for a wehosting service in the first post?
Well - looks like you won 1.5 mil for them wronging you.
But at the same time I dont think you know how to choose your battles. I think they wounded you and you wearing your holster was a way to defie them. I think you let your pride and your avenging spirit get in the way of your smarts. Your lawyers were right. It was a liability for the defence to attack your character. If you had LOST then your stubborness would have costed your time and money. You could see how hostile the court was to your actions. I think appeasing them and making them warm to you could only help your case. Well - what ever. I think - from the limited knowledge I have - they wronged you. But I also think you didnt use your brain on this one. |
Thanks for taking the time to read thru all the facts and thanks for the support. |
I don't know. Should I remove one of them? |

look the properties of the link and paste it into your address bar. I think the host has a script that doesnt allow 3rd party linking. |

FBI: I have a question or two...
In that picture on your website, are you wearing a sidearm (on right hip, nearly obscured by your right arm)? If so, what sort of statement are you trying to make? I found that odd. Also, have you now formed a corporation with the sole intent of going after nursing homes in general, or just the one that made accusations in regards to your relationship with your mother? If you don't mind the question, what line of work were/are you in normally? ETA link to said site: colt45.us/ |
Pick your battles. ALL of this could have EASILY been avoided. You are more stubborn than my 2 year old and that is alot to say.
That I carry a sidearm 24/7. That’s it’s a part of my life. That it’s a culture I belong to and one that I’m proud of. That if my gun showed up in the photo (or not) I could give a rats ass, because I wasn't going to deliberately change my pose just to insure it's obscurity. That I want to dispel the gun toting image by proliferating the Ubiquity of guns. That I want guns to be looked upon as lightheartedly as the ubiquitous purse.
If you’re a liberal I could understand why (no offense).

I pick my battles very carefully and am actually quite responsive to suggestions or advice. There are very few issues I do not bend on and two that come to mind are: 1. Holster stays 100% – Unselfish in nature – I feel it benefits the gun culture as a whole. 2. Leadership Role – Selfish in nature – If I’m the boss I’ll surround myself with good people but in the end you’re gonna stfu and do as I say. The outcome of my decision in this role affects my life so again, STFU. Other than that I’m known to be fairly amicable and my report card always said, “Interacts and plays well with other children”. |

Mr. Destefano was awarded $1.5 million after a jury found the defendants guilty of retaliation and defamation. Incredibly, four days later, the defendants retaliated and defamed Mr. Destefano again by falsely alleging Mr. Destefano had stalked the defendants at their place of employment and they believed he was carrying a concealed weapon. The Defendants falsely alleged that Mr. Destefano had threatened and assaulted them. The defendants alleged they were in fear for the lives and safety of themselves, their family and coworkers. These false allegations were used to petition the court for an INJUNCTION FOR PROTECTION AGAINST REPEAT VIOLENCE. The injunction was ordered and adjudged by the court without presence or knowledge of Mr. Destefano or his counsel.
Here it is. Tell me, if this was all a lie would you sue them again? |
FBI, I assume the temporary injunction which was granted in an ex parte proceeding was vacated after a hearing. Is that correct?
I concur. I hate nanny state liberals who rat out others for no reason. |
I stopped reading at page 9.
First off, I would not have pushed the envelope regarding the holster. That said, there is no earthly reason why it should have been an issue. Certainly, a judge has a lot of leeway in ordering the decorum of their court, but they still have to answer to professional review boards. The judge never told him to remove any nonvisible holster, anyway. The Baker Act crap was bogus - retaliatory in the extreme. What a vulgar display of authority gone wrong. His stating on the stand how he was made to feel by the acts of the defendants doesn't make him suicidal or a threat to others at that point....My god, if I were testifying about a similar occurence I would be hard pressed to find the words adequate to describe the rage and despair I would be feeling. This doesn't mean I would act on them. Mr. D, or FBI, or whatever - I am sorry for your loss and your troubles. What has happened to you has been a travesty. That said, I still recall the old Japanese proverb - "The nail that sticks up gets hammered down." Edit to ask a question - did the Protective Order get trashed or are you still fighting that one? |
I feel your actions did nothing to help gun culture, possibly hurt it. Average people will not look upon your actions as standing up for your 2nd amendment rights, they will see someone who is unnaturally attached to a piece of leather, and therefore mindset is questionable if they should be carrying a concealed weapon. I know nothing I say on this matter will change your mind and likewise anything you say will not change my mind. We have a difference of opinion. I wish you luck, I offer you condolences on the loss of your mother, and hope you have grown because of all the unfortunate experiences. |
Maybe just because it gets on your fucking nerves. |
I'm not arguing with you. This isn't high school debate class. I said you're acting like a dick. That's not an argument, that's a statement of opinion. I'm sure I'm not the only one that holds it. |
See what I mean? |

brother, please don't |

I don't think anyone takes you seriously. |
