OK, we've had "Breakfast Pics", "Dinner Pics", etc.  There are all sorts of rules, etc. for all these.  I remember, years ago, when they were fun, whimsical, and downright tasty to look upon.  But lately, they have become cumbersome behemoths, with nitpicky rules Nazis ruining everyone's fun.

So, I believe I may have devised a new sort of thread, hopefully guaranteed to enlighten, titilate, and energize.

I give you, my friends, the ARFCOM Drink Pic.

The rules are quite simple:

1 - Beverage (preferrably alcoholic, but we'll make exceptions for teetotalers)

2 - Poured into an appropriate (and if need be, explain why) vessel

3 - The original bottle/can is to be displayed

4 - An opening device (if needed) will be displayed

5 - At least one firearm

6 -  Bonus for ammo, extra firearm (handgun to compliment rifle, etc.), and suitable food item that goes well with the beverage.

My first submission, for your approval:

Old Peculiar Ale (one of the FINEST examples of British Ale known to man), served in a traditional pint glass, at 60 degrees Faranheit.  Top of the line bottle opener (no twist-tops in MY beer larder!), and guarded by a 9mm AR-15, SBR, 8.5" barrel, 32 round STEN mag, with Wally-world special White Box Winchester ammo, Magpul stock, speed-sling, Eotech sight, and OLY FIRSH handguards.  Front forward pistol grip and Magpul MIAD grip to boot.  For quieter applications, or to keep others from knowing what is transpiring, I give to you the CZ-75, with KADET .22LR adapter, mated with a TAC-65 suppressor and (in honor of all of our members going through a divorce/dog or cat hatred), the SSS ammo that is in much demand.

Enjoy, and I look forward to future submissions.

Not to piss in your cheerios, but I think there was an Assault Weapon Ban ending celebration pic that qualifies as a Drink Pic, and predates your drink pic.  Maybe we'll call that one a pre drink pic drink pic.  It had post bans, cigars, Gin and a (non scandalous) woman on a table IIRC.

Not that it takes away from your current drink pick at all.  Its a swell drink pic!

Long live the drink pic.

Why do you show both the opener and the countertop edge? Redundancy must be punished, -1.

Blasphemy!  One does NOT open a $3 beer using an unreliable method like a countertop edge!

Pistol in 9mm was about $400, add another $200 for the .22 LR conversion.  $150 or so for the work to get the barrel threaded and a thread protector.  Suppressor about $135 (special price) and the requisite $200 for the NFA tax.  Under $1000 for a 9mm/.22LR suppressed pistol that is INCREDIBLY accurate and reliable?  Priceless.

BTW - as I understand it, I am the ONLY person in the world that I know of who has done this to a CZ-75.

Why thank you!  I have impeccable taste, at least when it comes to alcohol.

Some of my favorites are Old Peculiar, anything by Samuel Smith's, and Mackeson.

Although I did purchase an $18 bottle of beer today - Sam Adams Chocolate Bock - WOW!  Can't wait to open it tomorrow - 750 ml of pure chocloatey beer goodness, and limited brewing.

No, but I'm sure posting pictures of what most of us look like while holding a gun will make us look much better.
