Had to fill up the car with a full 13 gallons at $2.33 a gallon for regular.

Final bill: $30.29.

My ass hurt after paying for that one

That's not too much worse than I am. You're sitting at $2.39/gallon. Sucks for both of us though.

What kind of a vehicle do you drive that needs 33 gallons. Truck with dual gas tank?

88 Ford Bronco, single tank.

How many MPG? 12?

I thought all your Kalifornia folk rode donkeys and mules around to stop greenhouse gas emmissions and save the world

It usually costs me around $40 bucks to fill up.  If I still had my Silverado it would be about $65

I'm in the process of selling my F150 and buying a mid-sized car.  $40+ gas stops just aren't cutting it.

Gonna try for a hybrid? I had thought of getting one when I bought my next car but I think I read you have to drive about 120,000+ miles on to have the savings on gas make up for the extra cost

I feel your pain, $ 2.37 a gallon for regular.
The station across the street from my work knocked 50 cents off the price on friday, what a zoo!
It was crazy, people just parked in the road waiting their turn.

I have been paying that much for several months.

$2.55 a gallon here .

My truck ( That Sits ) has dual 35 gallon tanks
and get 10 MPG on a good day .

But what really scares me is the price of heating
oil for the coming winter . My shop uses 400-500
gal a month just to keep it tolerable inside .

Ceiling height bay doors that get opened 40-50
times a day , let the warm air out pretty quickly

Makes me glad i sold the 81 Ramcharger with the 42 gallon tank that someone installed aftermarket, For the record, I paid 2.39 here yesterday to fill the shitsubishi was 33.00 and some change, The K Blazer hasn't seen full in a while. Course I don't drive it much these days. On a "good " note , if you can call it that i filled the 2.2 gallon tank on the bike pretty cheap 3 days ago

All new donkeys  in CA are required to have the anti-gas butt cork installed. This device also greatly reduces performance.

You must get lonely in Kalifornia, there are not many out there like you.  I spent all last week in
Sacramento downtown at the Grand Sheraton.  I felt like I was at a MoveOn.org convention........

My 90 K5 has a 32 gallon tank and gets about 7mpg...I fill up on close to 79-80 bucks. I dont drive her that often anymore. She rests in the garage except for sundays and when its bad weather

I burn 30 gallons of 100LL every weekday at $3 a gallon. Sometimes more. My monthly fuel bill has topped $2500 occasionally.

I'm scared of you, I don't want to end up in a movie
It was too damned hot to be outside anyway, I sure felt like I was in Texas.
One thing I did notice (to sorta stay on topic) was that now that gas prices are so
high, California doesn't seem to be a lot higher than other places like it has in the past.
I guess it's just bad everywhere.

Cali gas is "special" in it's forulation.  Thus no gas from other states can be sold here until it gets "re formulated"

PS  and I am MUCH nicer in person

No kidding 2.27 for 87 octane and 2.51 for 93 at the local Costco here in Northern Virginia. Damn lucky I don't have a big commute to work every day. I sure hope GM/BMW/Honda get their "research" of hydrogen or something similar to market sooooooon. This is a Fvck....

Ahhh, I always wondered why it cost more.  What does the "re-forumlation" get you?

I'll be back in Sac soon, I'll let you know then and I'll buy lunch (love those expense accounts)
