i was just on 5th ave., and what do i see? you guessed it, a bunch of tye-dye clad losers holding signs that didn't make sense. one said, "send Bush the little thief home!" - what??? anyway, it seems like the liberals pulled all the stops on this one, i counted 15 - 20 protesters, and a total of about 100 - 120 cops! what a joke, i hope they're proud of themselves...all this during a service for the dearly-departed Cardinal. sad.

another sign said: "billions for missles, chump change for AIDS" ... oh, and i just looked out the office window and read: "impeach the thief" . . . what??? i'm not saying that i blindly support 100% of Dubbya's policies, but do they have any Legitamate claims?? plus, i have to walk through all 20 of the protesters to get to the train!

It happens every day(or so it seems) around Columbia U. At least the whiners have gone home for the summer, it seems to have quieted down.

Hell, the International Socialist Organization plasters that neighborhood with flyers. I've wondered what would happen if i plastered the city with nazi flyers. The language would probably be much the same anyway. Disgusting city.

ok, i just got home (2 hour commute) but on the way, i went through the protest zone, to find that it was over. i guess they're on tour - following Bush. (now that Jerry is gone, they gotta follow someone!) anyway, i wanted to put some of GoatBoy's words to the street, along with some new material from friendlies in the office, dissappointed that it was over, i stopped for a minute to look around...

i paused near an unfortunate soul who was sitting on the sidewalk in front of a sign that read: "homeless with HIV please help, God Bless" so i asked him if any AIDS activists gave him any money, and he said NO! i couldn't believe it, so i asked him when he arrived, he said he saw the protest sign mentioning funding for AIDS and asked for help - he said all the people got really "quiet and nervous-looking", and basically ignored him !!! i thanked him, gave him all my money (about $3.00) and went home laughing at the latest liberal hypocracy...

...maybe i should have cried.   [V]

Your typical rent-a-mob.  It was also probably too hot for most of these socially conscious protesters to leave their air conditioned rooms.

Ever notice all the liberals in NYC are greenies?  Funny how they never address the incredible amount of pollution and waste in their own backyard.  Bunch of no good hypocrites they are.

When you walk by ask them to kindly head over to the Clinton's pad and make sure to get his contribution for AIDS (no I don't mean some more of that powerful semen)  as well as his thoughts on impeachment... after all the guy pulled an OJ and got his ass out of a number of issues in which he was clearly involved with.

Guess liberals can turn the other cheek when their president is out whoring, screwing up our foreign relations (hmmm, how many times did Bush 1 help him out???), or pardoning criminals, but as soon as a Republican president steps up, they're out in force because he hasn't solved all the world's problems...

You right winger's just don't get it do you?  We have to rise above this kind of name calling rhetoric.  I've noticed that Bush is a thief, after all we all know who really won the election back in November.  As far as pardoning criminals, who else needs a pardon?  I think a lot of you out there are just upset that America loves Bill Clinton and his moral agenda and doesn't want George W. in the oval office with his big business, rich get rich, policies.  [smoke]

You want people that don't believe in what they are fighting for?  You should have been at the "legalize marijuana" demonstration a couple of months ago...these people say they wanted marijuana legalized for MEDICINAL PURPOSES, then they all get together in Battery Park for one huge smokefest.  A cheap excuse to smoke pot, oh and the majority of demonstrators were early teen to late 20's (I know, we personally arrested shitloads of them) who had no medical condition requiring the use of marijuana. Oh well so much for my semi-off topic rant.  Isn't NYC great???[B)]

I hate NY. I really hate NY. People who defend this place make no sense. Even upstae gets influenced by this dump of a city. I live about 2 hours from the city and I can go in anytime I want. Guess what? I do, that is NEVER!!!!! What a dump. One day I will leave!!!!

Goatboy
I was recently exposed to some "greenie" banter when my partner and I responded to a rescue call for abdominal pain.  As we pull up to the house I notice a little tree huggin ecomobile parked in the driveway with a bumper sticker saying "Be kind to Animals...Dont Eat Them".  Inside the house we find a hyperactive 20 year old geekmo wearing a T-shirt that said something about "baby seals, nuclear arms, and AIDS babies".  He tells me his kidneys hurt, and he believes he damaged them with recreational consumption of cough syrup...[whacko]...."ok, get in the truck".
On the way to the hospital he tells me "Im a Vegan"....(pronounced vee-gun) "That means Im a Vegitarian, only more strict. I consume ABSOLUTELY NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS WHAT SO EVER."
He goes on to tell me how "Vegans" are more in touch with their bodies than "Omnivores"....."When my body needs an apple, it tells me so, so I know its time to eat an apple".........[rolleyes]...."blah blah blah", "we shouldn't eat animals because it's cruel"...."blah blah blah"..... all the way to the hospital.
My partner asked him what drinking cough syrup does for him......"Oh man....It's like being in heaven, it's like a HEROIN high"........whatever.......
Anyway, in the course of getting his insurance information, I ask "So, where do you work?"  His reply?...............[red]WENDY'S[/red]
