Found this little guy beside the road last night in the rain.  I'm sure he's full of worms.  Looks like he got a little touch of mange also on the elbows and belly area.  Pretty good appetite though and will bite fingers if they happen to be holding a little turkey.  After eating though, he has this little seizure and nose plants into the floor.  We're going to the vet when they open this morning but honestly, I'm not sure he's gonna make it.  At least he had one safe night.  If he does make it, I imagine I'm keeping him.  Thinking about naming him Rudy cause "He's so damn small......."Attachment Attached File

Good find. Hope he makes it. Please keep us updated. The worms and mange are an easy fix. The seizures could go away as his health improves. If not, the vet will put him on Keppra which is cheap and easily hidden in a slice of turkey.

Good deed. Watch out for Parvo. I'd never heard of it until I moved a little farther North. It's deadly to puppies until they get a couple months old.

Pobrecito.

My dog was found in a ditch full of water in front of a grocery store. Almost hairless and covered in fleas, I took her to the family vet. She treated her for worms and a bacterial infection. Didn’t charge me because she said she would be dead a week from then.

When I got her home the first night, I put some flea drops on her and they all ran into her ears and then I found her passed out with dead fleas everywhere around her.

Once her skin healed, her hair grew like cousin it. Then it all fell out because the mange had something to feed on. Back to the vet for a couple dips.

She turned 7 this year 🙂

It’s nice to be able to help them.  I still get annual updates from those that have adopted pups that I’ve found and doctored up over the years.

I have a Norwegian forest cat I found abandoned by his mom in a rainstorm.......3 years later he is my wife's best buddy and tolerates me from time to time but he's a great cat

Good on you OP....

Good on you, the older I get the more I appreciate dogs and the less I appreciate most peaple.

Focus on hydration and getting a little glucose in him. Ive used simple syrup and a syringe to revive a couple on the edge pups. Too much whole food too fast can cause issues if he’s started to shut down.
