I elected to stay home because my female Dane doesn’t do well in a kennel. So far I’ve spent $87 at Costco on steaks am going to my favorite hotdog place for lunch today and listening to a ton of music. She’ll be home Sunday evening. Life ain’t too bad.

I get so much stuff done when my wife and kids are away for a couple of days. Last time I painted the entire first floor of the house. And it's nice to take a day, kick on some 80s movies, play music, grill, and not be interrupted every 5 minutes.

Have two Danes as well, pretty sure their purpose in life is to make sure the couch doesn't float away into space. |

Good on ya mate
Took my 1st extended vacation with my wife in 21 years to visit my son and my dog went blind the day I landed and was dead 4 days later. Nice to see my kid but I’d have stayed home if I could have known. |

View Quote You poor bastard, I'm sure you are suffering not having to go out to the garage for some peace and solitude. I remember well so long ago the first time this happened to me, the quiet was overwhelming, you could hear a pin drop. By myself I went to my favorite pizza place one day for dinner, I had the TV all to myself.. I left a towel on the bathroom floor..it was...GLORIOUS !!! |
