Trump had seal team 6 board the ship but the crew had been tipped off and a gun fight broke out and the captain shot himself in the head with no one left to steer the ship it crashed into the bridge.

The nuke was recovered. Biden and Obama are furious. But Trump has managed to save the northeast from a massive casualty event again.

Don't forget "wow, that bridge design must suck to collapse like that" from the physics majors in the group.

This thread is a  perfect storm of conspiracy tards mixed in with the ‘everything is political’ crew.  Free range autism at its finest. Thank goodness that at least a few here are using facts and logic to try and stop them.

Don't forget all the brand new cargo ship experts, ship pilots and captains, as well as structural engineers.

We also had all sorts of experts in the Covid threads in 2020, all of the Iraq and Afghanistan threads in mid 2000s, etc. They were all wrong in the end. It was all lies spouted by MSM and our own government the whole time.

I really do think we should question things. It’s not like our government hasn’t lied to us many many times before (Gulf of Tonkin, Northwoods etc).

But the ‘subterranean aliens’, ‘they did this to keep trump out of office’.. and so on. Is blatant stupidity from the pits of society.

Well, as long as we are examining all possibilities and treating them all as equally likely despite the evidence at hand, I think you’d better get started on figuring out if aliens used a tractor beam to pull the ship into the bridge since the metal bars of the bridge were interfering with the 5G signals they’re using to control our minds.

Hmmm... bit of an ass aren't you.

Only a couple of problems with your scenario:
1. One of the actual SME's ITT said that there are 6 auxiliary generators on that ship. He said that a problem in the electrical distribution system could have caused the loss of electrical power even if the generator(s) were running.
2. A cold start on a diesel engine, even at full throttle, generally does not produce black smoke. White smoke from vaporized raw fuel is normal until the engine warms up a bit.
3. Black smoke is an indication of heavy load and max throttle, probably literally "pouring the coals" to the main engine in an effort to reverse the ship.

Find your SME.  Have him/her tell us whether the Aux gen engine that would power the air compressor (PTO or buss) was running before the main engine quit.

Go to your local truck stop at 6 am and watch a few cold starts.  Make a note of the smoke color.

They might be lying about this also. I’m sure they are for liability reasons if nothing else.

However accidents do happen. Hell this could have been negligence. But I doubt it was some deep state rouse to prevent Trump from being president.

I would suggest that we don't really know the color of the smoke because it was at night, just that it was smoking.

I will say that my 12v will smoke black if you give it throttle while starting, hot or cold.

Not an SME at all.  My experience with M60A1 tanks was black smoke when starting.  White smoke only when we sprayed diesel directly into the exhaust system to create vast clouds of white smoke.

You are correct about everything except ONE THING.

It completely 100% matters “WHY.”

“WHY” is the crux of this entire discussion!

When we find out “WHY,” we also learn “”HOW.”

Which very quickly leads us to “WHO.”

Once we know “WHO,” we move straight to “WHAT” (to do about it).

“WHEN” then just becomes a matter of logistics.

That's weird, whenever we fire up the mains and gens on my current ship, we get a nice cloud of black smoke. Same on the 6 other ships I've been on

It's all just silly at this point.

The air-cooled V-12 1790 cubic inch engine in the M60 is a unique application, not at all typical of diesel engines in general.

ETA: My bet is that investigation will reveal that the generator(s) and main engine were running and an intermittent electrical failure caused the loss of power and control.

Yes. The ship had a documented issue with its ‘propulsion and auxiliary machinery’ in June of 2023, but that documentation was put there to test our faith and to throw us off.

Cyber stuff has been a major focus in the maritime transportation domain for about 4-6 years now.

It's interesting that the members who consider themselves "enlightened" and above conspiracy theories, believe everything democrats tell us about this being an accident, then go on to tell us how the democrats are going to steal the money intended to rebuild the bridge.

Funny stuff.

Our government is only as corrupt as we allow it to be.  At some point we're going to have to accept that it's broken and it's up to us to fix it.

Q and Trump’s team had intel of a 1 kiloton suitcase nuke in one of the containers.

I shit you not.

How does Diddy work into all this? Are you suggesting Diddy didn't do it? And if Diddy didn't do it, what did Diddy do?

Bingo.

Remember this when you see the yellow bellies  bleating about how voting the ‘lesser of evils’ is so important and the way forward.

With the info at hand and my previous experience, I'd say that's probably a good choice.  Sometimes stuff happens.  All the smoke could have been a combo of trying to back down hard, and the ENG firing up every gen he could to try and bring up power during a critical phase of navigation

Dude I love it. It’s so entertaining, like a social experiment for me. I love to talk about it, hear about it. Make fun of it and point my finger at people and laugh about it.

Some of the cruise ships that visit the port here roll some pretty heavy coal when they fire up. So much that you don't want to be downwind of that black cloud.
