Took the day off work and went to the range today. Don't forget to take time to go and put in some work at the range.

Don't forget your sunscreen, you troglodytes.

Thanks OP!

I left some massive craters with 5.56 the other day...I'm gonna build a better backstop this weekend

Guns aren't for shooting, they are for spending way too much money on and then cramming in a safe.

This is true

I still try to go once a week with at least some .22s I would really hate to die and leave a huge ammo stash behind.

Sunscreen? It's still snowing here.

ETA: did you have a mag that failed to slide lock?

Shot twice this week.  A gallery match Tuesday night, and a 50ft handgun match last night.  May go clays shooting tomorrow.

I recently went shooting and it became apparent that my skills had begun to degrade after a long break. I need to start going more often.

I did. It is a glock factory mag with a taran tactical +5 base plate. It just started doing that this year. It's getting relegated to training use only until I get a new spring. It happens on occasion with other new magazines, which is an issue with  my grip as well... so I just have to deal with that.

I destroyed 20 Alabama red clay dirt clods last weekend with 20 175 grain gold metal match rounds. That's a buck a clod @pre-clown world prices. I hate dirt clods and will get them all!

Did some rounds on the heavy bag and then did some dry fire drills afterwards. I'm definitely planning on actually hitting the range next week, it's been too long.

Great choice on the ATACR, the $9.99 pathetic bundle of shrink wrapped firewood, not so much

That’s what I was thinking. I went last week when it was cold and windy but it’s snowed every day this week in addition to the cold and wind.

I shot my AK  build Monday, ran flawlessly.

Put a few magazines through my carry pistol and a .22 as well.

Can’t be a good shot if you don’t shoot!

OP is correct. Like anything important in life, you have to make time and a budget to do it.

I shoot weekly. Even if I had no ammunition I would perform dry-fire exercises supplemented with shooting a pellet gun towards the goal of making smaller and smaller groups at longer and longer distances.

I shoot in a pistol league every week.  I missed 4 weeks in a row, which almost never happens, and I actually shot pretty good last night.

I’ve been twice in the last two weeks. Previous to that, not nearly enough. And it shows. Plan on shooting a lot more in the next few weeks to get my mojo back.

Beats the range 100 fold. I have somewhere I can occasionally go luckily and just shot a few hundred rounds Saturday but I miss living on property and shooting whenever I want

Need to make better use of my range time with some drills or purpose but blasting can be fun.

I just recently got a Pact Club 3 and im happy with it so far. Paid $129 for it off Amazon and showed up the next day as it was prime eligible.

EDIT: was about to link it but it looks like the price for it on Amazon has gone up to $143

Still recovering from knee surgery and had the itch. Grabbed a basic Savage 64 and cracked open a brick of Federal Automatch. Slapped on a Simmons and my son zeroed it in. Stepped onto the front porch and started making holes in stuff.

Tomorrow I'll have coffee on the front porch with this rifle. That brick will probably not last the weekend

YES. All the features you need and none you don't.

Built to withstand a lot of use.

Plus, after a couple of decades of competition shooting, they just sound right.
