Here are some pics from my company in Iraq.  Enjoy.

Iraqi weapons

Whoops.

One of SH’s palaces, now used by SFOD-D.  They are kind enough to let the less fortunate use the pool.

Catching some rack.

A real OP name.  Just kidding… no really, it was… no, I’m kidding…

Taking out some frustration.

Home is where you hang your M4.

Crazy stuff.

The luckiest MK-19 Gunner on Earth.  During an ambush, this RPG hit the ammo cradle which was filled with HE 40mm grenades.  The warhead blew away from the body and detonated behind the gunner.  The RPG set the whole gun system on fire but failed to detonate any of the MK-19 rounds or injure the gunner.

.50 BMG, I assume; though there was also a good deal of 40mm going that way as well.

Some of the kill pics were not from the same engagement, I just didn't know which ones. This is just part of a huge collection of pics some of the guys in the company assembled.

Oh yeah POWs up the wazoo.  Remember they were surrendering to just about anybody, troops reporters, tourists.  The Republican Guards fought but most of the Regulars surrendered as fast as they could if they could.

He's talking about US/Coalition POW's.

Yes, we had many POW's taken prisoner in GW1.....most of them USMC/Navy/AF pilots who were shot down......also a couple of SAS prisoners who were from the famous Bravo Two Zero patrol.

Hey Andreauah, Read Bravo Two Zero.  There is a section of the book where it describes a the place where most of the Coalition POWs were held.  It kinda hit me that the places where this company took the pictures might very well be the places those aviators were held.  3 members of B20 were held in a detention facility with alot of US aviators, a few USMC and Navy.  This might be the place in the pictures.....wierd!

Anyways, we treat our captured POW's like fucking princes compared to how Iraqi's treated our POW's.  Good to finally see some pictures of those meatsticks on the receiving end of some .50 cal downrange!

SGTIMAK,

I'll second all the other remarks and offer my thanks as well.  The wife and I have been sending care packages and cards to individuals/units over there as we are able.  Anything your friends need that we could donate?  Give me a list and an APO address, I'd be honored to contribute.

What a difference 12 years make. No such thing as digital cameras during DS. The freakin pickup point wouldn't print half of our pix because of similar content. Now you can self-develop and publish your own pix.

Great breakfast viewing! That just adds something to a sausage biscuit and milk somehow.

Well done and thank you.

Last night Dave Letterman was showing pictures from his Christmas visit to the troops in Baghdad. He mentioned a guy he saw that he had first met on his visit to Afghanistan, and said to the guy that he had it rough, getting sent to both theaters.

He said the guy just matter of factly told him, "It's got to be done."

First, thanks for your service.

The pics of the Hummers disabled or shot up should be shown nightly on the news so people can get it through their thick skulls that we are still getting shot at.

As far as the gooey shots go...  Good.  A few less to try to harm those trying to do the people of Iraq some good.
