|
He tried so hard
And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter |

Well that sucks. I liked most of LP's music. I'm not going to cry over a multi millionaire with every resource at his disposal killing himself however.

Wasn't he also the replacement lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots? They're now 0/2 on singers...

The next Transformers movie soundtrack is gonna be fuuuuuuucked.

Damn. Saw them at Rupp about 9 years ago, by far one of the best concerts I've been to. We were down on the floor and forced our way up near the stage. Chester came off the stage and was roaming around on the floor singing (screaming) and at one point was about 2 feet away from me.
Their last couple albums have been kinda meh, but Hybrid Theory, Meteora and Reanimation were awesome. Also the mix up they did with Jay-Z was amazing. Meteora helped me get through a bad break up at the time it came out. I have made it know to everyone that matters that when I die, Leave Out All The Rest is to be played at my funeral. Even if you aren't a fan, that song should resonate with most people. ETA: For the TLDW crowd, the song is basically saying that when I die forget about the bad shit I did and remember the good. Doesn't apply to all people though. Mass murders, chomos, etc. Fuck those guys. Leave Out All The Rest (Official Music Video) [4K Upgrade] - Linkin Park |

I don't know much about him as a person but I used to listen to their music nonstop back in the early 2000s. Terrible for his family and two wives.

Knowing a few folks that committed suicide, I have changed my outlook on it. I used to say they were cowardly assholes. But that's looking at their situation through the filter of rational thought. After talking to a guy that seriously attempted to kill himself, he pointed out to me that those folks are in a darker place than any rational person can imagine. After the very long discussion with him, all I can say is I hope Chester found his peace and that I hope I never find myself in that dark of a place.

That sucks.
Not a huge fan of theirs anymore, but to see someone lose the battle with drugs and alcohol leaving behind 6 kids is terrible. |
|
Maybe he was just trying to cut out whatever was crawling in his skin with a razor?
|
|
He's from the Phoenix area. he had a house about a mile east of me in Gilbert.

I've seen them live twice, I didn't really care for much of their stuff after Meteora though.
Sad. |
